Most disgusting restaurant ever set foot in. Your better off eating off your door matt. Tables dirty and sticky gave kids colouring in for the pictures to be ripped apart when lifted up. Carvery i picked up a tray it was covered in grease and none had been cleaned as I tried to.select others, all.the.veg undercooked more fat on met than meat and pigs in blankets were un edible. It's run by kids. And the customer service is shocking.
I have never been so dissapointed at a meal in my life, me and my mum waited for an hour just for food and what was served was not up to standard.
The staff were miserable and werent sure of anything.
The mash and barrel is much better for going for drinks not for food but even then they had no ice. So don't waste your money coming here for food.
Don't eat here! Awful place... ordered sausage and mash (via the app as service was slow, despite it being almost empty) thinking basic, can't go wrong... how wrong I was. Took ages to come out, when it did my sausages were completely black... cremated is pretty accurate, and they still thought acceptable to send out, onions rings didnt resemble onion rings at all, just flaky tiny pieces of batter. Not that hot so wonder how long it took to come out. Sent it back, remade and brought back out. 2 out of 3 sausages edible, 3rd one still too black tasted burnt. Mash lumpy. Onion rings were okay second time around. Overall so disappointed. Don't waste your time here.
Please bring back covid measures. When we visited 2 years ago there was table service and the tables were quickly cleared and cleaned. There were no queues at the bar and no people wandering around whilst you're eating.
This time was chaotic. There was 1 queue for ordering both food and drinks and 1 member of staff. The other 2 staff members were sorting out app table orders! After finally ordering our food we had a 45 minute wait! A couple came in after us and got there food within 10 minutes and left before us! The food was ok on the one night we ate there.
Dirty sticky tables, filthy condiment holder. Slow service, water flavored beer. Should have known better but we were hungry and it was there. Next time we'll head into town for sure. Poor staff, clearly not enough of them so I don't blame them for this bad experience. Food must have been ready 10-15 mins before they served us as it wasn't hot. But at least the burgers, fish and chips were nice.
Good value for money, quick service. Nice friendly staff all around. Overall a really good experience!
We turned up before our booking and were about to be seated when we saw a sign stating an 80 minute wait for food. We clarified this with the girl who was about to seat us and she told us that wait time was from when we ordered food. This was, we were then told, due to a party of 30 and a party of 15. At no point during booking was I informed that the restaurant would be that busy. We decided not to hang around and went off site, got served and ate all within 60 minutes.
Very skeptical of coming for a meal because of the poor reviews but we were extremely surprised. Service wasn't the greatest but the food was very nice. 2 x adult starters, 2 x adult burgers, large kids meal and pudding and 3 drinks each can't to £60! Food was really nice. Cooked well, tasty and came out fast. Would definitely return
