Masala Craft serves very good food and is one of the best options in the Newport market. Highly recommended for anyone looking for delicious, flavorful dishes. The butter chicken is my favourite!
The first time I had food here it was really good. I had the honey loaded chicken fries. The second time I had the chicken tikka masala fries and they were awful. Literally just chicken with a bit sauce, nothing crafted about that. Won’t be buying from them again unfortunately.
Kashmiri chilli honey fries. Chips with tiny low quality chicken pieces coated in the sweetest most sickly syrup like sauce.
Really bad. You could make this dish with £2 in Iceland.
I would be embarrassed if I owned a restaurant called “masala craft” and served this.
It is Indian food tailored to suit the British taste buds. Not spicy. (Think Americanized Chinese food.) I got the masala chicken fries. It was under seasoned and slightly over cooked. The masala was almost flavorless. The fries were soggy, and tasted like they had been prepped and frozen then re-heated. The rice I got was very dry. The onion fritters with mango chutney were very good and the spice was amazing on them. (Very sweet chutney.) The mint sauce is also amazing. (The sauces saved this meal for me.) Amazing portions and great price.
Delicious food and great for gluten free! So happy Masala Craft has recently opened at the market. They have really clear allergy information and even said they recently changed their wings so that they are also gluten free. They recommend you add any allergies to the comments when ordering on the market app. Really helpful staff. Such delicious curry!

Just an Incredible Experience i ever had…! Food and Place was very amazing , Store Environment was really nice and peaceful . staff was very friendly and Best in service. A lady Name Nihala was so kind and gives best service.
They filled the bowl with rice and chips , nice to have found some chicken in the meal but guess that's the expensive part.
