Shocking village ??? I was recently visiting friends in Marshchapel over from Dublin Ireland. Rude is an understatement. I visited the one pub open, it was, to my pleasant surprise, amazing, yet witnessed the most obnoxious customer I have ever seen or heard in a public house. If the Village Hall is run by this type of person or customer, stay well away. Being from a nation famed for its hospitality I felt sorry and embarrassed for the nice and very sociable people serving such horrible people obviously from the village of Marshchapel. I will never visit the village again. Terrible.
A Saturday Market is being held on the 1st Saturday of each month. Great selection of crafts, locally grown produce, books, raffle and antiques. Refreshments are available including bacon butties and cakes. Friendly atmosphere. Clean establishment. Disabled friendly.
Multipurpose village hall. Used by parish council, scouts and for indoor bowls, and a monthly market on the first Saturday of the month.
Fitness classes on Monday, and kids dancing on weekends. Saturday 11/11 is Salters Supper.
Called in for the Saturday market x have been to several childeens birthday parties held there, really good venue x
Having been in Marshchapel now for two years I can say through experience that nothing here is welcoming or 'friendly? These positive posts and comments are from the very people that control the village and Parish. The Village Hall is a Village Hall .... The people that control it are not friendly or welcoming in any fashion. Marshchapel paints a pretty picture for visitors but is a bitter controlled little Village best left alone.
Lovely hall. Went to Marshchapel Market, lovely warm welcome from the gentlemen in the car park to the ladies serving cake.
Marschapel nice ? welcoming ? It certainly is not. The Village Hall hire is merely a way of funding the controlling few here ...... Marschapel is the worst village environment I have ever experienced. After investing in the village I wish this wasn't the case, but it is.
Only used the car park to pick up granddaughter from school but the building looks nice and clean .
