This fantastic little cafe can be found just afew miles outside of Berwick. They serve up tasty breakfasts, delicious cakes, and mouth-watering sandwiches.
The staff are all very happy and friendly and food is definitely served with a smile. Come with an appetite as you will definitely need it as the food is not only delicious but generously portioned.
We opted for breakfasts on our visit along with a tea and a wonderful hot chocolate. Next time we go ( which we definitely will ), we will be ordering one of the many fantastic sandwiches / toasties on offer. I can't wait. ????

A nice place to enjoy breakfast, brunch or lunch and of course a nice cup of tea in the afternoon.
Plenty of free parking even if you go with a trailer.
All the ladies working in the cafe were smiling and attentive ????
Too many blondies for my taste. I prefer cakes as they contain less sugar.
Bacon and sausage can be improved to offer a top quality.
The roasted potatoes in the salad are tasty but hard, maybe just boil them ????

Really good experience here. We only stopped for a take away coffee so I don’t have a comment on the food but the service was great. The coffee is really nice and they offer alternative mills for free which is amazing.
The baked goods looks amazing, I didn’t get one but sure would if I didn’t have breakfast. Also the bathrooms are clean.
Marshall's cafe has really upped its game since we were last in the area - we were made to feel really welcome and very looked after, despite how busy it was from the moment they opened (which in itself is a great sign - clearly has become a popular breakfast spot!)
The menu of cooked food on offer is fantastic, and the selection of cakes and bakes at the counter almost impossible to choose from. We'll definitely be back!
Wow!! How did it take us two years to visit this gem? Sunday morning breakfast was just fantastic. The cafe was busy when we arrived and almost overrun by the time we left! But nothing seemed to knock the good humour or the efficiency of the lovely staff. And I was tempted just to stay til lunchtime because the array of lunch goodies was fantastic. Criticism? Tiny - toast was just standard sliced white, butter was liquid because hot toast was laid on top of it, and the option of a little marmalade would have been welcome. But we will be back - quite possibly in the next couple of days. I just hope noone will read this review otherwise there will be no room for us!!! Thank you all.
Lovely breakfast (available until 2pm) for three of our party and jacket potato for the fourth member. All meals were good, friendly, prompt service. Cafe was very busy and people regularly stand waiting for tables. They have a board for specials, which unfortunately is at floor level infront of the main counter where people queue. Maybe this board could be hung on a wall to make it easier for dinners to see. I would recommend a visit here if your passing.

Don’t even think twice about whether you should go here. Just go. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are really lovely!
I must warn you about the cakes though; you’ll never find cakes better these and if you get one you’ll be eating it for the rest of the day.
The portion sizes are huge! But just because they’re big doesn’t mean it’s overcompensating for taste. I’ve had traybakes and cakes with flavours that I’d never even think of combining.
Possibly one of my favourites is the Mars and Bounty brownie. Any kind of brownie is good to me.
A really great option on the sit in menu is the soup and bacon roll. Great price and great, homemade flavour~
All in all a definite favourite of mine!
I wish they delivered because I don’t drive to be able to get there. I’d be ordering my lunch every single day if that was the case!
The food at this place is amazing! We don't live terribly close (we travel over from Scottish Borders and only spotted it because we went to the Go Outdoors camping shop next door) but it's the best breakfast and cake shop around, and well worth our 45min trek. Consistent service too - cakes are always fresh, change every time, and the breakfast is served hot with all the little things remembered despite always being really busy. The staff are always super friendly and it's very welcoming of children.
