Best KPortal Reviews
The Marquis of Granby is a nice, traditional, friendly community pub in the heart of the village. It is a cosy pub with a pool table and dartboard. There was reasonable choice of beers, lagers and cider, but no cask conditioned real ales. But to be fair, the new landlady has only just taken over the pub. The pub is child friendly and has a good big car park. I will definitely be back in a few weeks' time to see what beers they have.
The pub has been taken over by a lovely couple, really good atmosphere, pool, darts.
Food will resume shortly TBC.
We would love to see new and old customers.
WELCOME
Made a reservation for 1pm today and turned up for it not to be open. We all stood outside for around half an hour with no sign of life in the pub to be seen. Tried phoning and no one answered. Could have at least had the decent to let us know.
Fantastic food, brilliant Sunday lunch as well. Service from all staff was just perfect, very welcoming and friendly. Party of 6 had mains and desserts and every meal was delicious. Went back for the following day for Sunday dinner, beef and pork both outstanding. Highly recommend, probably best pub for food and atmosphere in the area.
We stumbled across this pub on our way to Kilnsea and I am so happy that we decided to have our Sunday lunch there! The food was great- beef nice and pink with lovely, crisp veggies. The portions were generous and the staff really friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere and great food! Definitely recommend if you happen to be in the area!
Top-class in all respects. Rooms excellent and very well kitted out.Best battered fish I have had since Noah said “by gum lad that was reet tasty.!”
Many count the cost but not the value. At the MoG you get both. Expertly managed and cheffed by Jo. Well happy I found it.
My only possible criticism is that portion size - too bloody large. Double yer prices lass and halve the portions - no wonder the greedy bas+%#^c keep coming back!!
Just had a ribeye steak with family and it just melted in my mouth ???? the chips were nice and crispy really good ,my daughter had a lasagna and she loved it and the service was great thanks Simon and all praises ???? to the cheif joanne. Beautiful ????.
been loads of times -food is great -
but... this april (2022) the pub was filled with smoke and oil smell from kitchen as they did not seem to have extraction on.
honestly the food and drink was great but atmosphere was ruined.
walked out with clothes smelling of chip fat:{
Hope they can sort it out so I can change review back to 5stars again.
