What you might need to know

Parking can be tricky (no car park)

Dog friendly and can be wandering around.

In street parking is fine but it’s at the start of a one way system once you turn off Heanor road.

Cheap enough. You get to choose from many flat, warm ales or face judgment from the locals by choosing a bottled lager then head on out the back to escape the aroma of stale farts. Don't forget to hold your breath on the way back through though as the smell appears to be permanent ???? possibly due to the minging toilet situation.

Very pleasant couple of hours spent here on our way to Nottingham for the football. Made to feel very welcome by Andy the proprietor, and the locals. Great beers on offer, reasonably priced. Informed by Andy that he brews his own ale. Lovely beer garden to the rear of the pub, with some interesting items in it. Our time here was much better than the football match we attended. The group have said we shall have to make a return visit at some point.

Very busy local pub rather small rooms but that wasn't problem. A outside garden nice to sit out there. I didn't like the shared loo facilities but I suppose that was down to space . Lots of interesting things to look at on the walls...

This place is amazing, best little bar ever. Friendly crowd, they grow their own hops and turn it into beers.

Brilliant Micro Pub always have a few pints in here after a walk from Watnall.

Lovely Micro Pub serving ales made on-site. Friendly owner and locals who make us feel welcome whenever we visit. A good place for dog owners. Roaring fires when it's cold. A must for cask ale lovers when over this way
