Absolutely amazing festive afternoon tea. Great flavours, great quality, A+ all round!
Food is OK and there is plenty of it, But it seams there are various offer or deals when booking, ours was a coach party booking which left us with a limited choice of menu & strangely as we were staying for 4 nights a requirement to fill in a tick box of your menu choices for the whole stay, strange! or just me? As a vegetarian this limited me to just a couple of choices, I alternated my selection to repeat every other night. I would have loved the opportunity to order from a full menu nightly - not in advance. You know, like a normal restaurant. Breakfast was good, lots of the normal things but a vegetarian sausage wouldn't go amiss.
We're staying here for 4 nights on a GB Tours coach holiday which includes breakfast and dinner. As a vegetarian I was disappointed with the menu choices & found it very strange to be asked to fill out a sheet as soon as we arrived picking our meals for all 4 nights. We ended up having to tick the same choices for alternative nights due to the few choices. The food itself was okay. It was served hot by pleasent staff members although there was quite a wait between courses especially on one of the evenings. As for breakfast I had just toast, butter and Marmite followed by a yoghurt. There was plenty of fruit, cereals, a few pastries, bread for the toaster, jams and even little pots of Marmite. Unfortunately the hot breakfast was not very suitable for vegetarians, yes I could have found a few things but with so many people being vegetarian today I think they need to make more of an effort.
Staff were friendly and helpful, room was nicely laid out for the wedding party. Red carpet could do with a clean. All in all better than I remember it in 90's.
One of the aspects of this hotel is that when you arrive for a full night's day you have to order on the night that you have arrived what you want to eat in the morning and what you want to eat the following evenings I can understand the logistics of this and I can understand the organisation of it but it is the very last thing that you want to think about when you have just arrived at the hotel coming across the country and if you make a mistake on your Tik box it is very difficult to change that can you end up with having something that you don't really want. The hotel Julie I would give 5 out of 10 and on TripAdvisor it has not had good views at all in fact a good 60% of the the reviewers have given it and average and bad review. I would not recommend that you go there
Greated very warmly by a lovely girl on reception. Nice afternoon tea and Prosecco and friendly service again. Nice swim in the pool, but they could really do with a couple of loungers. We'd gone for the afternoon and it wasn't really comfy or relaxing in a chair!! Nice, friendly staff again.
Meal was lovely. Was included as part of our hotel package. We had wendy as our waitress who was absolutely amazing. A great member of the team who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Would eat here again.
Absolutely loved our dining experience at the hotel tonight. The food was very tasty, the dishes were quite big. Very clean. Plenty of parking. Very friendly staff providing a good service. Highly recommend.
