This small cafe is on white Cross Street with Banner Street. White Cross Street is a foodie street with food stalls out most days.
I popped in for a quick bacon roll towards the end of the day. It was quiet, but I imagine it gets rammed at lunchtime. The food was OK, and the prices seemed in line with the area.
This is a friendly, cheap eatery in the middle of Clerkenwell that outdoes its competitors.
Along with friend Tim I arrived late for lunch (about 3pm), but the staff made us welcome despite being about to close.
There's nothing exotic on the menu, but they have a nice range of toasted sandwiches, salads and typical fry-ups.
Tim chose the latter with a coffee, but had just mushrooms on toast with tea. We both thought our meals were delicious, and the bill with drinks was only twelve pounds.
Great value, with a friendly family atmosphere.
Not bad at all nice service great milkshakes, lost a star after ordering omelette and chips with bread and butter clearly for chip butty but bread was cut into triangles? ????
Ordered a black coffee. Lady confirmed black back to me. I said no milk or sugar. Then got served a white coffee. Absolute joke may as well have not bothered.
Full English breakfast. One of the few places around here that does one. And at a good price £5. And chef even served it the way I like it. Toast with bacon on top and egg on top of bacon!
