Been trying to find a nice Caribbean since our usual place has closed. Have tried a few new ones but have either been half the menu not available, food cold, something missing, more fat than meat or just bland! But this place pleasantly surprised me. Ordered chicken wings, fries, goat with rice & peas, dumplings, plantain and coleslaw. Everything was perfect, portion sizes, temperature and taste all good. Also has a dessert guy in there the dessert trap where I ordered a cookie dough which was really nice too.
My first try of this new Caribbean cafe, which used to be 'The Shed' cafe.
I had the 'Marjayz Veggie box' which included Mushrooms, Seasoned beans,
2 Veggie Sausage's, Omelette and 2 toast, instead of tomatoes I had 2 grilled Halloumi
and a Latte to drink afterwards.
The Latte was the best I've had anywhere.
Excellent portions and very reasonable price of £6.95.
There's a large TV screen which plays Caribbean type of videos.
They have a garden area at the back.
Plenty of off road parking.
Nice and clean small cafe with friendly staff.
Four Tables seating 4 per table plus seating in garden area.
Although it's not on the menu they have vegan friendly meals like meatless chicken etc.
Great hours 8am to 8pm 7 days a week.

Went to Marjayz today for the first time, I was totally spoilt for choice, everything on their menu they had available, which was nice. I opted for ackee and salt fish and dumplings and wow it was amazing, the crisp on the outer edge of the dumpling and the soft fluffy inside ???? definitely going back. Customer service was amazing too, very friendly staff.
Food was so tasty, exactly what we needed after hard work ???? and the service was just great! P.S. add sky juice to your meal ????????
this is quickly becoming my favourite Jamaican food place for sure, only been opened a little over a year but they’re killing it with a yummy selection of food, amazing cosy atmosphere & lovely staff. place is very welcoming to dine in, and you can enjoy the sunny weather out in the beautiful garden. the flavours are unbeatable and mouth watering, 10/10 recommend ????????
I was staying in a local air bnb because my boiler was being fixed. I went with my partner, daughter and sister the food was amazing and just what we needed. Thank you.
Ordered a take away and firstly it came in a good time, so I knew the food was cooked from fresh. Tried the sweet chilli prawns for starters and they tasted amazing. For mains I had the jerk chicken set meal and it was cooked perfectly. Would recommend and would go back for sure!
Food and service was so good, this is definitely my new favourite place to eat!
