Thoroughly enjoyed this chippy shop with some quality fish and chips and stone baked pizzas, normally fish and chips comes extremely greasy but this place surprisingly had some really quality stuff I would recommend and will definitely be coming back to this place.
Customer service was a little strange at the start as the woman at the counter seemed extremely miserable I would say the food has therefore recovered from me giving this place a 3 star. A word of advice be extremely friendly to the customers as they make or break your business This chippy is located at the heart of Pollokshaws Road you will be dealing with a lot of different type of customers just have a little smile on your face and I’m sure it will attract a lot more customers
Man behind the counter was extremely rude. I could hear him lying to other customers about what they offered. The food was fine. This is the 2nd chance I have given this chippy after a disappointing first go and I will never give them my money again. Also the prices are all over the place.
Rude and aggressive man behind the counter. Took my order then didn’t serve me. After half an hour i asked what happened to my food and he got very angry about my half hour claim. Refuted the claim and Printed off a receipt that wasn’t mine which said I’d ordered that minute. When I said it wasn’t mine he started banging his hands on the counter and becoming very aggressive. Unfortunately at this point I swore at him before leaving and going to Salt & Vinegar in shawlands, which was impeccable as always. If you need a decent chippy in the south side then Salt & Vinegar is the one! Marinas, your chips might be good but your service is frighteningly bad, and honestly scary.
To be honest wasn't on my plans to get fish and chips for dinner, but I'm glad i do not booked a table on the restaurants around Marinas, this was one of those happy accidents. So good , tasty, good chips and the portion, plenty. Don't know the last owners or whatever, but they clearly know what they are doing! Thanks and keep going. ????????????????????
used to be fabulous for fish and chips but not anymore. Visited this week as I was in the area and it was the worst fish supper I have ever tasted. The whole thing went in the bin
Lovely people working in this wee tiny fish & chips place. The portion size is quite big, so you’ll get a lot for your money. Need to say, it’s very fresh and super tasty.
Fantastic chip shop. The best fish and chips for miles around and, believe me, I've tried them all. Wonderful staff and service!! Wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!!
Solid chippy on the south side, fish is always fresh cooked.
