Went In with my family and my daughter for drinks and probably alot more, yes the chocolate looked great so we had a look, we wasn't in the shop 2 min and my daughter got a loud warning to not touch from a member of staff ( I was with my daughter warning her myself and watching her) and if any damage would of been made I obviously would of paid for it, this made me feel embarrassed and uncomfortable to stay as how many times would this happen if this is what happend as we just got in, so we left ... so I'm sure it's a nice place if you go in ,sit down and don't move ... also might be an idea to display the chocolate behind glass doors or fridges to ensure no touches the chocolate
There was a moldy piece of tomato in my sandwich. The waitress replaced the piece and told me it wasn’t moldy. Dont go here, not recommended.
Went in with my husband and children a month ago. I had the soup which was very tasty, however I was disappointed with the lack of bread choices for their sandwiches. They only offer granary bread, and as someone with a seed allergy, the only option I had was soup. Maybe something to consider for future.
Serves excellent dark hot chocolate which is very difficult to come by. Pastel de nata was outstanding. Really good cappuccino and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
We had the most amazing meal here this evening. The food was incredible.... we had 4 dishes between two of us which was a perfect amount. My favourite was the Brie.... heaven! We also had sangria and a couple of cocktails which were also fantastic. The two ladies that served us were extremely friendly too... they let us bring our dog in and even gave him some dog treats. We can’t wait to go back soon!
Incredibly rude staff - don’t allow dogs and just shouted at me in front of all the customers before I even stepped over the threshold with my tiny dog. Didn’t even offer to serve me outside. Very outdated and rude attitude - went up the road to the coffee shop which was fantastic and very welcoming. I certainly won’t be back to Maria’s or recommending it - what a shame as I love chocolates and coffee.
Proudly serving the creamiest, richest dark hot chocolate and good coffee too. Friendly, polite staff. Spotlessly clean.
Very expensive but you can see true love and attention to detail in the work they do. Everything is so well presented and loads of different designs in dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate. They also do vegan as well if you swing that way. I would say taste of the chocolate is quite average and not worth the expense. You get a good amount of coco but it is very dry and not milky.
There is a lot of choice and you can spend anything from £1 upto about £30 on 1 item.
