Wonderful old school chippy, great food fantastic prices. Excellent gluten free range. Not massive servings but at the prices you can buy two. Doesn’t take card so take cash.
Good food stop just staff could be more polite
This is a top notch St Helens proper Chippy, no frills just great grub and lovely people behind the counter catering for your every need. Whilst this is a regular stop for our family it was the only Fish n Chip shop we could find for our traditional Fish and Chip Christmas Eve family tea. They must have cleaned up, good on em! Merry Christmas Marg and the Team!
Marg is lovely, food was good and very reasonably priced. You can call ahead to pre order. They do Gluten Free options. Win win.

Best traditional fish and chips around, fish is fresh and made to order. Portion sizes are as they should be and reasonable prices.
Can I score zero?
Portions are quite small and staff are really rude. We only go for gluten-free and it drives me mad how they refer to GF as ‘gluten’. As in, ‘Did you order gluten fish and chips?’. Er, no, I ordered gluten-free!! The owner is really abrasive and argumentative. Last time we called ahead to order GF and when we got there they lied about telling us a time on the phone. Who argues with customers like that? And then she told us, ‘well you’ll just have to sit in your car until they’re ready’. Clearly they’re busy, but come on; a bit of basic customer service wouldn’t hurt.
Will not be going there again, I’d rather go hungry.
