I don't think this place even needs reviews. It is so easily 5 Star! This is by far the best chippy I have ever had in my 43 years of life. I bet, in a blind test, this would rival that place in Whitby where the queues go right down the street. The fish bites are out of this world and the queues are testimony to its greatness. Prices are insanely cheap for its quality and I cannot believe I am lucky enough this is right on my doorstep. Worth travelling to, do it!!

Popped in here on our last night on holiday in beloved North Yorkshire. Fish was cooked to order and tasted great, we also had a battered sausage and chips too which also tasted great. Keep up the great work, was a pleasure to visit.

Had come across this fish shop some 2 months earlier by accident and the fish & chips were superb.

Made a beeline for the chip shop Wednesday last coming back from Teesside at tea time and another excellent fish & chip tea.

I used to go to this fish shop quite regularly a few years ago when I lived local, so thought I would give it a try once again even though it had new owners. The lady behind the counter was very polite and efficient. The food was plentiful but when I got home the chips were luvely, but the rest wasn't, the batter was very hard making the rest inedible, so ended up throwing it in the bin. Be a while before I try it again.
