Over recent years mainly bad experiences. However having had to make numerous visits at surgery's request over last month have found things have improved massively. Staff from doctors, nurses and receptionists all working together in patients best interests, helpful and efficient and all going that extra mile.
It's situated close to the bus and train stations. Suited for those who arrive from work or on way to work. The staff are polite and generally accommodate patients at short notice provided there is room for it.
The doctor whom I saw today was understanding unlike others who just prescribe medicines. He suggested various methods to cure the illness without any painkillers
Do not register here! Here are a few (of many) of my personal experiences.
Can never get an appointment.
Never the same doctor twice as they are always locums.
I have even had an experience where there wasn't a doctor or nurse in to administer vital medication so I was sent to another surgery for the injection. When I arrived at the other surgery malling health hadn't even let them know why I was there or what medication they were supposed to give me. Luckily by chance there was one in the freezer but that was the first instance of the mismanagement and disorganisation of the practice.
I've had files and vital medical letters go missing.
Was once told to come back that afternoon to pick up a prescription as a doctor hadn't managed to sign off of it in over a week, when I arrived back that afternoon the surgery was closed due to "staff training" at the desk there was another person who was told the same picking up medication for his terminally ill wife. When to the pharmacy I usually use to see if they could administer an emergency supply to find a group of five other patients who had been told to return that afternoon for prescriptions.
The problems caused by this surgery has worn me down and caused me untold stress. As a person with a long term illness I should not have to deal with this and would hate for someone else to have to do the same.
If I wrote all down all the instances this practice has failed me I would be here all day. Save yourself the time and energy and do not register here.
The doctor I saw was extremely unhelpful and wouldn't even entertain one of my very important questions (which is still unanswered a week later.) Won't be using that doctor again and definitely wouldn't recommend
Very clean, helpful receptionist, polite nurse she explain every step she was preforming.
45 mins late appointment! At this time of night with 2 people in the waiting room! 8pm. Appointment was meant to be 7.15pm
Phoned 5 times yesterday and 25 today. Got cut off or was engaged. Then get told no appointments
Barely any staff, one Dr a day it seems, Dr calling in sick with no cover, they don’t pick up the phone, it just rings off (probably due to no staff).
