Fantastic little gem of a restaurant, the host is quick with the jokes to make patrons patients as he figures out where to park everybody...
Now for the food...wow I had the tartare it is assemble your own type...but the quality of the meat cut makes up for any work you have to put in ...just wow...
My wife had the Moit-Moit Tartiflete, an excellent choice according to the owner...it is a decadent mixture of local cheese and blue cheese also local, with some sweet tasting fried bacon, a touch of local cream ...had few small potatoes and you have a one way ticket for carb coma bliss....but what a taste!!!! It's absolutely amazing... all of this topped by a small Swiss flag...it's never too late to be patriotic...
If you manage to save room for dessert make sure to try the 2 cream and meringues..Life is good then....now you are ready to brave any adventure that awaits you

I've eaten twice in Maison de Ville. It's a convenient place to eat because 1) it doesn't close between lunch & dinner, 2) so far we have not had to make any reservations to get a table & it's right across the public parking for when we go sledding so we just cross the roundabout for a meal.
I remove one star because the pricing is a little high with ginormous servings, but it's embarrassing to order dish to split between 2 people. However if you want to get around this, order a salad for one person and a main dish. Then split both. What would be ideal is to have smaller plates & cheaper prices for each. But for people who love huge servings... this place would be perfect.
We enjoyed the Croûtes Au fromage, the salad, the fondue. Our friends enjoyed the Rosti Chicken Burger & the raclette (which is a bit warm & self service). For those who are new to Switzerland, the raclette & fondue don't come with anything except bread and cheese. Not even paprika like in the German Christmas markets.
My father in law was not impressed with his steak and fries & I wasn't impressed with my cold cuts platter. Some were good and some were not great.
For dessert we really enjoyed the COFFEE BREAK. It's a scoop of coffee ice cream, meringue & a Nespresso.
The place looks nice BUT we ordered a hot chocolate and what we received was hot milk with some Ovomaltine on the side which we poured in it. They should have called it differently on the menu. The service was also super slow and it took a lot for them to clean the table. Other tables around us also waited long time to get served.
Un restaurant très sympathique avec sa terrasse ensoleillée à l arrière. Service agréable, plats copieux. Coup de cœur pour la raclette à gogo et la chasse sur l ardoise (trio).
Dans un cadre typiquement Suisse et vraiment sympatique, vous pouvez déguster (entre autre) des roestis burger...un vrai délice !
...Pour ceux qui ne sont pas attirés par ces mets innovants..vous avez à dispo une carte vraiment attrayante.
Ca vaut le détour pour passer un moment détendu et agréable.☺
