Thanks go to lovely hosts Steve and Jane!, after a long day riding around some of the best motorbiking roads we had the pleasure to ride on, our motorbike's safely stored overnight in their barn, good size room with 3 single beds. We all enjoyed Steve's freshly cooked breakfast, loads of choices. Dedicated lounge available downstairs for guests. 10-15mins walk to Surrounding pubs for evening meals etc. Nothing was too much trouble.
Jane & Steve are excellent hosts. The house is beautiful, the lay out is really good and obviously cleanliness is a key feature. Guests have their own sitting room and dining room. Our room was really pretty and well presented with a modern en-suite. It had everything you could want and the views are spectacular, looking across to the hills beyond. We stayed just one night to tide us over whilst we were moving house, but it was a night really well spent - comfort is certainly a watchword at Maes y Gwaelod. Finally, we awoke to a wonderful breakfast with all the choices you can wish for for a great British B&B. Thank you very much Jane & Steve
Had an amazing stay, can’t recommend this B and B enough! Steve and Jane were fantastic hosts, nothing too much trouble, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was so tasty. We had the triple room which was so spacious, had everything we needed, very comfy beds and a lovely clean modern bathroom ???? The B and B was so quiet and peaceful, not slept that well for a while! Perfect location for touring the Brecon Beacons and Elan Valley on motorbikes. Two characterful local pubs within walking distance for evening meals. We’ll be back!!!
This is a super clean and cosy b&b situated in a tranquil part of Wales. Great for family walks and reconnecting with nature. Every view from every window is absolutely breathtaking. The scenery is second to none. We explored the pretty local area of Llanwrtwd Wells (officially Britain’s smallest town as we discovered on our trip!) We also visited other towns nearby including Llandovery which was a 20 minute drive away (The Kings Head pub is fantastic there) and we also drove to Tenby Beach for a day out which was 1.5 hours away. This was a fun day out in a lively seaside town. Steve and Jane are very welcoming hosts and Steve makes the best breakfast!! We enjoyed our experience so much that we are planning to return next spring. Thank you Steve and Jane for your fabulous hospitality! ||Emma, Simon & Oliver
Fantastic B&B great location, hosts Jane & Steve were lovely made our stay so relaxing and made us feel welcome. Steve's breakfast is the best... the family dogs and horse are lovely too and great relaxing atmosphere. Perfect for any weekend or week break, great to get a away from the rat race!! would definitely be going back again soon.
We stayed in Maes y Gwaelod last week and had such a lovely stay. The rooms were very comfortable, immaculate and well equipped with great en suite bathrooms. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts - Jane and Steve. We also had a delicious breakfast in the morning and we can wholeheartedly recommend this b&b - superb! We will be back very soon!
Stayed at Maes y Gwaelod prior to participating in a nearby cycling event. Very quiet location with off road parking. Our room was spotless with really comfortable beds, a light and airy en suite and a superb shower. Hosts Steve and Jane are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is top notch and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent B&B!
Amazing B&B. The hosts Steve and Jane are very attentive and just lovely to talk to. They were so good and patient with my toddler. They even took him to see their horses.
The location is fantastic with lots of nice walking routes. The nearest town is about a 10 minute walk or 60 seconds in the car. There are a number of towns that can be reached by a short drive such as Brecon or Llandovery.
The room was nice and clean and the beds extremely comfortable. The breakfast which is included was amazing and home cooked every morning.
We are already planning when to visit and looking to book for the Spring as we have loved it so much.
