The best hot chocolate in town.
A group of five of us (three adults, two children under 2 years of age) visited here in May 2024.
The atmosphere was absolutely lovely and both the place and the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. We came with a wide double buggy and the staff were so helpful in fitting us in the tea room.
We went in for a bit of brunch. Having a selection of bacon baps and cake. To drink was coffee and hot chocolates. The hot chocolates were outstanding (we ordered a honeycomb and a mint). Just delicious and the perfect treat for a slightly rainy day. The cake was a chocolate kinder cake and again this was delicious.
We'll definitely be visiting again when we're next in town.
Fantastic place. I regularly eat here or just popi n for a coffee. Fresh quiche made while you wait (about 15 minutes). Worth the wait. The cakes are delicious and large slices (but youcan have a ½ slice). I took my friend the other week and she really enjoyed it - so much so that she is going again. Never had bad service. Staff are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. Everything is home made and fresh. There is a free carpark opposite for about 10 cars and 2 disabled spaces k3 hour parking). There are also 22 other car parks in Kimberley - one for 3 hours and one is free for an hour and the £1 till 6.00pm. Would highly recommend.
This place is incredible, original shop fittings from many years ago, love the Madhatter theme. ( beautiful). Great food , cooked to order, friendly staff. Regulars popping in for take away coffee etc, real community spirit. Gifts available from local crafts. Will definitely visit again.
Really feels magical as you walk in. Service great, food great, music in background great. Just a lovely place to visit for a meal or relaxing drink
Birthday treat from my daughter. Wonderful experience first impressions wow, when we was Led to the back room so much to take in, and all the hats fantastic touch had to try them all on obviously. Afternoon tea amazing selection of fresh cakes and sándwiches choice of tea & coffee provided on a very pretty dinner service. Top it of a free complimentery wine and a birthday cake.

This was, without a doubt, the best afternoon tea that I have ever had. Everything is made by the very talented baker. The macaroons were the best I have ever had. Absolutely everything was faultless. The staff were so helpful and really friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be back, really impressed and I will be recommending Madhatters to everyone.
Cappuccino tasted of sugary milk. Don’t think there was any coffee in it. The raspberry cake was like eating a bag of sugar. The chocolate cake had no taste, but later found out it was a vegan cake. Just awful.
If the owner offers you a free massage prize. Don't take him up on it, as he'll try to touch you inappropriately during this 'prize'.
He will also get video footage of you naked during this massage.
Just a word of warning to anyone a bit nieve, like I was at the time.
Went for afternoon tea and got offered a massage prize. Still have the text messages to prove so.
Would not recommend going at all.
