This is a quaint Alice in Wonderland themed Tea Room towards the top of the High Street in Lyndhurst. The top of the menu Cheshire Cat breakfast was more of a challenge than I expected, but I did manage to finish it. Food quality was good. Service was good too. Toilets are outside and had an antique feel, but were clean and working nicely. There's outdoor seating too, at the back of the building. I enjoyed my visit here. It was a nice surprise to find a tea room like this
Fantastic Quaint Cafe, been here a few times when in the area.
Staff friendly and attentive, delicious food and great tasting coffee. I had brie and mushrooms on toast ???? my husband had a mixed cheese panini ????would definately recommend a visit. Be sure to be quiet though, do not disturb the fairy that lives in the tree behind the door ????♂️
Went for a friend's baby shower was lovely only 8 of us so ideal. Food lovely I think most of us brought our cakes home as so much to eat. We had the high tea
Excellent time here. My family ordered two build-your-own waffles, one build-your-own pancake and a plate of baked potatoes, and they all came out so appetising and tasty. Would definitely come here again.
We have been regular customers here, but unfortunately, our last few visits have been disappointing. On our most recent visit, we ordered a jacket potato, but it arrived without the coleslaw that is usually included. Additionally, the egg and avocado dish was not as expected, and the bread seemed cheap. It would have been much better if it had been served on sourdough bread. Despite the high bill, we paid in support of small businesses, but regrettably, we will not be returning.
Great full breakfast and a beautiful cream tea for my wifes 50th Birthday breakfast (the best scone shes ever had) Only issue was a bit slow on service but all good in the end, just watch your toast as my sons had to be sent mine back as had a bit of mold on but was dealt with end.
Will be back though thankyou ????
The famous Mad Hatter tea rooms is based on the Alice in Wonderland theme.
I had to visit as I had last been here with my parents and grandparents as a kid.
The sandwich I had was fresh and tasty.
It was just a trip down memory lane for personal reasons.
It’s a compact place and great for bringing young kids.
Good service and friendly. Clean and easy parking nearby.
Conveniently located, parking very close by.
Amazing food, cute intimate space which is so well set up in keeping with the Alice in Wonderland theme, starting with the entire decor to the sales of AiW memorabilia.
Staff are courteous.
