Fish was freshly cooked and enjoyable with a nice thin batter. However everything else was pretty bad - the chips and battered sausage were really stale and dry, also bitter taste to chips, maybe oil needs changing?
Horrible place.
Food was okay.
Altho the 2 guys in the shop was always on their mobile phone in and out there pockets while making food. Cracked and broke hot counter and pizza oven. Not the cleanestbof places too..
I personally won't be back. I would rather travel that extra bit for better service and food.
I don't understand the bad reviews on here. We visited last Friday and I was a bit sceptical about whether to go as the reviews were so mixed. I am so glad we did! The place was spotless, staff friendly, choice amazing and reasonable prices. We ordered online and we're totally satisfied.
Everything was cooked fresh and my husband ordered the black pudding supper with the largest black pudding ever from a takeaway! I had the pakora supper which was delicious and the portion was huge. My son had the burger supper which he loved.
All I can say is give them a try and make your own mind up. We did and it was great.

21:00 on a Sunday evening, you guys really pulled through. Our hotel dryburgh Abby hotel gave us several conflicting reports on allergens in food so we decided it was safer to eat elsewhere, and Maano's came to the rescue! Pizza made freshly Infront of us, and haddock and chips fried to order! The food was nothing short of superb and the service was great. The atmosphere was just what you expect from a chippy, fast clean service and no fuss.
When I visited this establishment I was warmly greeted by Mr Waseem, he had a very friendly manner and made us feel welcome, we ordered the special fish and what can I say, Waseem cooked these to perfection, the fish tasted so fresh and the crispness of the breadcrumbs was perfect for us.
I have tried a few places which serve special fish and I have to admit that on this visit, Waseem at Manno's has blown the rest out of the park.
I have recommended this establishment to my family.
Fish was fine but chips were a bit flabby could do with longer in fryer
as a Londoner n massive fish n chip fan especially sausage in batter fan I gotta say this place is top notch worth a try f the bad reviews they got it on point here I tried them last night okay the chips wasn't the best but the sausage in batter I got was on point ???? ???? good job n thanks for free pizza my gf enjoyed that haha
sadly gotta edit my review they no longer want ti deliver to jedburgh I know it 9 miles but not my fault they only shop open on Sundays that deliver last night I ordered small amount you delivered today I ordered £32 worth n you decline rip nice food but no more service for me sad
