Best KPortal Reviews

I was intrigued by the previous negative reviews and interested to see if M's was anywhere like others have claimed. I couldn't find anything that came even remotely close to M's negative reviewers have wanted us to believe. The service was excellent, the staff helped me choose a really delicious dish which I devoured. I would have liked some other diners in to help create more atmosphere but apart from that, it was superb ????
AVIOD is my only advise. OVERPRICED, POOR QUALITY AND QUANTITY. We rang the order in as we knew it was going to take a while to make as we was a large group. We made 5 separate orders, the gentleman on the other end couldn't understand us and told us we had made 7 orders. So instead of getting it delivered we went to pick up, so there wasnt any misunderstanding. When we entered it was quite, the man was VERY rude eating his food while talking to us and spoke to us in a horrible manner. Throwing menu at one lady as she asked for a break down as it was so expensive. We order 2 donna wraps plain and donna meat and chips plain. As you can see not plain at all. Most of the wraps was salad and was not fresh! And barely any meat for the donna and chips. All the orders were wrong so when we rang up to complain he said 'I don't have time for this and hung up'. When speaking to locals they said they will never go there which to me speaks volumes for this establishment. Don't waste your time and money! You will be disappointed!
This was positively our last take away to be ordered in Ingleton .
My meal was a classic for any indian cuisine enthusiast. A sheek kebab, a meat madras and a plain nan.
The sheek kebab was not fully reheated and had the fat flavour of meat reheated by frying pr grilling.
My plain nan could have been more baked and it was over sweet but that is just my taste preference.
The curry was the biggest disappointment. The curry was little more than a liquidised sauce reduced to a uniform but near soup texture. It had an appropriate level of chilli ferocity but little in depth of the flavour provided by ginger, garlic and the classic Indian spices. In my opinion, the meat had not been cooked in the gravy. The flavour had not infused the meat and the meat was not fully tender. The shape of the meat was odd, in that it looked like it had been cut from a steak, in long thin ribbons. There were few cubes or chunks.
Adding a choice of meats, or vegetables to a standard gravy is not in anyway authentic.
I am convinced this take-away method, is typical of many indian take-aways and has to be totally revised.
It is probably more important to do a very much reduced menu choice but cooked fresh on a daily basis in advance of the establishment opening, rather than to attempt to provide all dishes on a cook, freeze and reheat basis. The reduced menu produced in batches saves on waste and assures premium quality. Pressure cooked meats in a basis gravy ensures infused flavour.
In my opinion, his take-away is probably no worse than many others. It is only the methods used that don't do it for me.
Absolutely shocking customer service. Ordered on just eat. Waited for delivery. App said delivered so I contacted the restaurant to find out why. He said they couldn’t find the address. (There’s a big sign in the front of the property in the same village as the restaurant). He was very rude, told me to come and collect as it’s only around the corner. ( how would he know that if he couldn’t find the address) Went to collect the food. It was stone cold by the time we brought it back. Very overpriced mediocre food. Pickle tray £4.25 for tiny pots, popadoms extra. Would definitely not recommend. Rude staff. No apology. As it’s the only takeaway apart from the chippy I feel they don’t care once your order is placed. Stay well clear. £82 bill for a family of 4.
Food was sweet and bland, it was also extremely overpriced and the man who was serving us was very impolite and rude. We were asked if we wanted poppadoms and the girl serving us made it out that they were free, when we got the bill we found out we had been charged £3 per poppadom meaning that just for poppadoms we paid £33. Each piece of naan was also £4.50. The food isn’t good, it’s reheated and just is so bad. Don’t waste your time, you could make something better with a few ingredients from the co-op next door.
DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ????????
The shittesttt food everrrr!!! He charged us £200+ for what? we ordered rice and he gave up 2 tablespoons of uncooked rice and chicken tikka wraps which had a very weird sweet taste. They served us starters without asking and charged extra £30 for it. This is by far the worst restaurant i’ve ever been to, not an exaggeration!!
Absolutely shocking meals. We ordered our normal meals ( I had a Chicken Korma and garlic naan) and it wasn’t a chicken korma it was extremely spicy and sickly and the garlic naan was just a bland piece of bread with a little cut up garlic sprinkled on top! It was horrible my family and I wasted most of it as it was revolting. Really suggest not eating here!
The staff were friendly enough but reluctant to spend the time explaining the unfamiliar dishes on the menu, and there are a few.
Meals arrive reasonably quickly but they got the order wrong blaming us for not knowing what we ordered!
Waitress claimed that the dish we ordered was lamb but the name had murgh in it which I believe is chicken.
Meals were good but lacking some taste; might suit some palates.
Prices were reasonable and the restaurant was pleasant. Could be 5 stars with a wee bit of effort
