Wow!! This was the most amazing dining experience we’ve had so far on our Italy trip. We had gotten engaged here and then returned a few nights later for dinner. Such a stunningly beautiful and peaceful place, exceptional service, and wonderful cuisine. Thank you Luna & Cal for making our engagement so special.
Definitely paying for location and the view. The rest was terrible. But you can take nice pictures for your social media, that’s about it.
Food was bland and expensive, BUT very pretty. One of the blandest tartars I had in my life, but looked very nice for the pictures. Had two dishes with truffle - couldn’t taste it. It is not a truffle season now, but surely if you pay so much money for a truffle dish they should be able to find a good one. Instead they used some synthetic or bad truffle with no taste at all.
Marinated 60 day beef was very chewy..
Completely course was not fresh and was not tasting nice, but can’t complain as it was free of charge.
One Staff of the restaurant tried to clear our plates when I was still eating and I had to tell him twice I’m eating before he realised to put my plate down. Another staff I believe the manager asked how is everything twice. I said it was fine and he was satisfied with my answer.
Honestly my advice from this experience go there for a drink, enjoy the view and eat elsewhere.
Phenomenal dining experience! Fabulous views. Excellent service and menu explanations and pairing recommendations as well as local sourcing knowledge. Surprise tasting samples were offered free of charge which was a lovely surprise! The Giravolta was to die for! Highly recommend!
Maybe the best dinner we had in Italy during our trip. The view is unbeatable and the menu is thoughtfully crafted. The staff at Luna really made this 3 hour dinner special. They are professional, knowledgeable, and overall made us feel so at home. I would recommended this restaurant to anyone in Positano looking to celebrate a special occasion
I rarely leave reviews but here goes- my wife and I stayed at Villa Magia and dined in at Luna on our final night, because we were exhausted from walking! The experience blew us away. We were served by Arcangelo and Salvatore who were both superb, professional and fun. There were several “ extra” touches during the meal that surprised and delighted. Celebrated our 36th anniversary and it was the best anniversary dinner we have ever had! Also, the food was probably the very best from start to finish we experienced in our 10 day trip to Italy. Finally, the view is superb like many in Positano with an intimate and quiet setting. Highly, highly recommend!! We won’t forget ????
Amazing view and excellent food. The best dish was the best dish I had in Italy, Giravolta, which was a tube pasta filled with a beef Genovese sauce that was absolutely amazing. The octopus appetizer was also excellent, slow cooked and then flash fried. Only one downside to this restaurant is the number of steps to reach it. Easily 200. And definitely do not start from Grande Marina, it’s like 400+ steps easily. But I don’t hold that against them, it’s a fantastic restaurant and the views are stunning.
