Had a lovely hot chocolate, and pot of tea. Lovely little place, especially liked the dog.
We popped in here last week, admittedly to shelter from the rain. Two lovely cappuccinos and some excellent homemade cake.
Dried out a bit and chatted to the very friendly guy who served us.????.
We will not be going back to this place, dirty floors, dirty tables and had to ask waitress to wipe our table. We were next to the window and the window display was certainly not clean. We did not eat other than a small cake but people nearby to us praised what they had, but the number of people who walked in and walked straight out again said all that needs saying as regards atmosphere, its a pity as this place used to be buzzing.
Dogs are allowed, clean and tidy walked in 11.47 Breakfast finishes at 11.45 we asked if any chance of a Breakfast they said no cannot do you a Breakfast yet my partner could order a Breakfast burger that contained all Breakfast items all that was missing was beans as it wasn't busy they wasn't rushed off there feet you would think they would be accommodating. So I had a jacket potatoe nicely presented tiny potatoe and partners burger came out well presented. First time visiting the area at lot of other places was closed so was nice to be able to get food somewhere that the dogs can sit inside.
Nice little cafe, very quick service. Ordered a BLT sandwich, the food was very nice.
Loowena will forever be my favourite place for breakfast, lunch, drinks and cakes. The atmosphere is very chilled and relaxed.
The cream tea's are absolutely amazing one of the owners (Georgie) make's them fresh every morning. The other owner ( Nigel) cooks all the food the standard of his cooking is out of this world???? The service is very quick! All the staff are so friendly and extremely welcoming. Can not recommend loowena highly enough !!!
Lovely cafe, very clean, looks freshly decorated. Food is as lovely and the service was excellent. However it was a little pricey but worth the money.
I would not recommend as the food is overpriced for what you get. Very small portions, bacon undercooked, pulled pork loaded fries came and it was only just warm. Chilli bean with rice, tiny portion with not much chilli flavour. Chips not hot. Waitress very flat with no oomph. Am from Devon so it's a shame but will not be returning!
