For a village shop and post office what a great place. Staff all chatty with each other and customers in a very open and casual way, a real village hub. From what I could see they had a bit of everything that you might need and expect from such a shop. Great wee notice board with all the local events and tradespeople.
We stayed in the hotel just along from here, the staff were so very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Everyone we met here spoke to us, lovely village, cannot wait to go back.
Been in here a few times while working in the area. When the women are working they have no problem heating up pies, bridies etc. But there's a man that works there that refuses to heat anything up for you. Obviously too much trouble to put a pie in the microwave. Won't be back.
A small shop and post office that seem to have everything you need in a village. Friendly staff. Good parking.
