Visited the fashion shop Comhla, which offers slow fashion, and eco conscious shopping - really lovely shop. The lady behind the til is very knowledgeable & I look forward to treating myself after pay day :)
This January they have been running a free Jumper Swap on a rail outside; leave a jumper, take a jumper - absolutely brilliant idea! This shop, and Long Crendon as a whole, are really excelling at being green, it's wonderful - keep up the good work!
Beautiful location, ideal for the summer. Cafe only part open. Lovely staff, tasty toasted sandwich and coffee. But. Take out a loan to buy a simple sandwich £7.50 and be prepared to spend £5 on coffee otherwise its a tiny cup, ie you need 2 cups to equal a small mug. Then its VERY noisy, bring your own noise cancelling ear buds
Love going here, great monthly Sunday farmers market and quality cafe. Can't wait for the bakery to open for daily soft warm baked treats.
Popped in to get a sandwich but ended up getting a freshly cooked cheeseburger and chips for £6.95. The white roll was fantastic, dense but still soft, the cheese was full flavoured and the burger was tasty but not fatty. The salad was crisp and there were loads of chips, again not greasy. This was my annual cheeseburger and it was thoroughly satisfying and very good value for money. Thank you.
The pastries are wonderful, coffee is disappointing, but the service from the older lady serving has been incredibly unfriendly, unwelcoming and rude. I've been a couple of times as the food is so nice and a real draw, however the service has unfortunately been consistently frosty and condescending, therefore I will not be frequenting this establishment. Wondering if I was alone in feeling I've had my bum spanked every time I've visited, other friends and family who I've mentioned this to have confirmed a similar customer service experience - at least she's consistent! A real shame for a place I want to like and visit but it's just not worth it.
Absolutely love the fresh bread, enough that a 30 minute detour doesn't stop me! such a lovely setting. It's good to see quality food, locally sourced & locally produced.
Coffee was really bad, I threw half of it away. It was nice to have an outdoor seating area but not very well maintained, one of the picnic tables/benches had a lot of bird poo on it. The road leading out has very deep potholes so I wouldn’t want to drive there again.
Good variety of foodstuffs, fresh fruit and vegetables. Home produced honey and sauces. Freshly baked pies, sausage rolls and pasties. Some local alcohol. Fresh baked breads, thick cream and more.
Some lovely produce, but at premium prices.
