Small garden centre on the edge of Dartmoor, helpful staff. A lovely display of plants all year round.
I visit quite a lot with my cycling friends. The food is great but a little overpriced and I'm dissapointed to see they still only use paper cups and plates even in soggy winter. I had a cheese scone and butter with a cup of tea for £6.50.
It's OK.
Better in the summer when you can sit outdoors.
Good to visit if you have used the garden centre or have been for a walk on the moors in the local vicinity.
Love this garden centre! A great local little centre with a bit of everything you might need. I'm always popping I'm for soil or pots or plants.
My wife and I have just visited the Long Ash Garden Centre Cafe to day we ordered two coffees and two individual quiche's I did not notice the menu which said served cold. Even the best quiches served cold are not very appetising and these were in that category. I did ask if it was possible to heat the quiches? alas that was declined as they did not have a probe thermometer! strange that they serve hot soup? So I would not recommend the cold quiche as it has very little taste and because of its consintancy impossible to cut with wooden cutlery provided. We took our quiches home and heated them 10 minutes in the oven and what a difference ! tasty and delicious.
Cold quiche and crisps are not good value at £7.50 per portion.
Our plan upon visiting the centre was to purchase for our very large garden and because it was an independent the opertunity to keep business local. Following our experience in the cafe we just went home and as my wife said best keep to the nationals as you always get hot food.
A lovely cafe with great coffee and a good selection of gluten free cakes.
I love this place...always get good quality plants at a good price.... they sell other garden stuff too, but I just come for the plants :0)
Not tried the cafe yet but can only imagine its good..
It's a small place but they concentrate on the basics and that's the important bit for me :0)
Super little garden centre with fantastic staff. Bonus to have a cafe also with the mostly people I thunk I have ever met.
