Seeing Loch Ness was a dream come true. We visited as part of a tour bus on our way north. The Loch is beautiful and so scerene. We loved visiting a local pub as part of the stop. We got to spend some time visiting with others at the bar. There are a few tourist stores to buy necessities, snacks and souviners. They have a nice big parking lot and public toilets. The toilets are free in the winter and charge in the summer. They accept credit card payments for the toilets in the summer. The majority of the village is handicap accessible however getting out to the loch is not as accessible.

Stopped off here during our NC500 road trip. Great view of Loch Ness (if it's a clear day!). Short walk from the main road to the view point. Parking in nearby car parks (paid) or further away (free). Great photo opportunity at the blue sign.

Beautiful area. Stunning location. The Loch/the mountains/the picturesque villages. Well worth exploring.

In Fort Augustus the Loch Ness starts and there is a small sign that I would recommend visiting that has a great view of the lake. There are some close by parking spots and then you can walk to the lake along the river. The Loch Ness museum is not in Fort Augustus but a 20 minute drive from there.

One of the best views of loch Ness and so easy to get to!

Can get busy when a few tour groups show up at the same time but don't let that put you off as it really is stunning.

Lots of photo opportunities and just a really nice place to take a break and enjoy the views.

What a gem. Definitely make a trip here and spend some time. The town is so cute and a bunch of restaurants. You can take a ferry tour of Loch Ness which is pretty cool.

Really cool spot! Great view of the Loch and the incoming vessels to the canals. The weather was incredible and the infrastructure to view the canal traffic was really well established. Really enjoyed the whole experience.

Amazing stunning spot, with a view of the loch , at beginning of its whole 33 km stretch from south. Beautiful views of the incoming and outgoing boats and lots of nature..
