We were in a campervan so never tried the cafe but the place is beautiful and quiet the road is single track with passing places for 11 miles but we'll worth the journey we will definitely be going back.
Loch Katrine offers easy parking, beautiful views and a mix of easy and difficult walks.
The paths round the Loch are clearly marked. The basic paths are suitable for anyone with some walking experience. Some other paths need a bit more fitness.
Lots of trails, really lovely views and a very interesting mix of trees and fauna.
The car park was cheap, the toilets are free and the local cafe very good. See my separate review of the Steamship Cafe

There is always a great photo opportunity here at sunset
After driving on the single track road to Stronachlachar it was nice to see the lovely views of the loch. Plenty people came here. Lovely wee cafe too. Nice to rest up for a while. There are time tables of boat cruises ???? but didn't see any while we were there. It was worth the drive to see this place as the weather was very hot too. Then we went onwards to Inversnaid which has a beautiful seanery. Lovely Big Hotel plenty water activity too. People were resting and enjoying their day out.

Gorgeous place, really quiet too
Beautiful Loch Katrine from all angles.The main car park which you pay for at The Trossachs has a souvenir shop,restaurant,cycle hire and boat trips..Toilets also available and pids to rent.
Stronachlachar at the end of the Loch has a lovely restaurant with a cafe.Windy Road from Aberfoyle to get to either end but worth it.Visired many times and love it
