Great fish and calamari. The batter wasn't too thick and was perfectly crispy. Their staff was very friendly and it was made quickly. We were able to sit outside and eat them fresh and heard a couple people pass and say they had the best fish and chips. We can agree with them on that. It was the best we had on our trip to England and very reasonably priced.

We've tried a lot of fish and chips on our trip to Brighton and these were our favourite by a mile. Staff are lovely, the chips, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle with lots of salt and vinegar. The fish was fresh and you can buy in 3 different sizes. I had the small and it was not frozen fillet, it was just as fresh as the large with big flakes and crispy light batter. Lovely.
Went there and had the absolute best time. My best friend and I got a fish and chips to eat on the beach, it was legendary. Everything is made in front of your eyes and the team is super sweet.
The food quality is through the roof, and the shop it itself is super super cute.

My boyfriend and I had the meal deal haddock and chips, rock and chips and white bait yesterday. The homemade tartare sauce was delish and honestly can say that this was the best fish and chips I've had! Would Def make the trip down to Brighton for it again. Was craving some good white bait and it hit the spot for sure ???? the chips were cooked exactly how we like it too.thank you
Not the greatest fish and chips we’ve had. There were 4 of us: 3 ordered cod while I ordered haddock. We all agreed that there was more batter than fish and other than tasting very oily, there wasn’t much flavor. Bare in mind that the portion sizes are quite large so we would recommend a small or medium order of fish and chips unless you are very hungry.
Response to the owner's comment: It seems you did not read the review thoroughly so I will leave it at that. Being an independent establishment is no excuse for serving poor tasting food. Please bear in mind that there were 4 of us in our group and we all came to the same conclusion. Reading your comment on other reviews, it seems you're not at all open to feedback on the quality of your food. I'm sorry but if you cannot take the feedback and use it for improvement, you probably should not be in business.
Came back to Brighton a year and a half later and went straight for lunch here again. Definitely the best fish and chips tried in Btown and lovely little business. Everything is cooked to order right in front of you and quite often there’s a little queue, which confirms its popularity. The staff in there are funny and nice and the fish tastes fresh and flaky, cooked so nicely in the batter. The batter and chips are proper and crispy and not too oily like some places. They’ve also got veggie options which is really cool!
11/10 would recommend ????
It’s a very small place so not much space to stay but fish and chips by the sea is the way to go; just watch out for Brighton’s famous seagulls ????????
Great cod and chips. Light batter on a tasty bit of fish, good chips crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, made to order but very quickly. The medium size portion was plenty for me. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
