After being let down badly by my main dealer where I bought my motorcycle from (will remain nameless) in several failed non returned calls over 3 months to get a service and several issues resolved I gave up and started searching for a reputable service centre that was within reasonable travel distance.
I phoned a few independent service agents and wasn’t reassured by the uninterested manner over the phone that my business or my bike was either welcome or my business. Eventually I came across James at Liss motorcycles.
Instantly I was pleased to be speaking to someone clearly passionate about not only the services offered but also more importantly in the way I was treated on the phone. Friendly, enthusiastic, interested and lots of great advice with feedback regarding quite a list of work and parts I asked to be replaced and a good service too!
James was extremely flexible regarding me dropping the bike over on a weekend and was quick with his inspection, diagnosing other issues that required immediate attention and the price for parts and labour extremely fair. There was also obvious signs upon collection following the works carried out he had gone the extra mile with odd bits here and there and everything had been done to a very high standard. Absolutely perfect in every aspect and cannot recommend or praise James enough for everything he has done. My bike runs and feels better than ever and I have now found someone I can 100% trust with my bike. It’s just a shame that main dealerships (not all) just let the side down with poor customer service. James - you provide the complete package! Thank you so much, and I will be back again for the next service or whatever else happens to need doing in the near future.
James completed an annual service for me on my Triumph Tiger. Such a friendly guy and really knows his stuff. Really satisfied with the knowledge and attention to detail he gave the bike and updates with images when he discovered bits that needed attention. Thank you, I’ll be back!
Nearly bought a Yamaha TDM 850 from this individual yesterday but unfortunately I got outbid at the last minute. Great bloke to correspond with who gave clear & concise answers to all the questions I asked him. Will definitely buy from this person again if a bike comes up that I take a liking to. Well done & great service!!!.
Took my Suzuki to James after a MOT issue cropped up. James sorted the bike perfectly and professionally and at a very reasonable price. I shall definitely be using him again as he clearly knows his stuff and is a very helpful and informed guy too.
James collected my bike 2 hours after it broke down on a Friday evening. Stripped down carburetors and replaced parts. MOT'ed the bike at a very reasonable price
I’ve been to many motorcycle mechanics and this one is by far the best, i got my motorbike back within the same day today when everywhere else was saying up to 2 weeks turn around, they are very lovely people there, I would very much recommend this mechanic.
James installed a new chain and sprocket set on my Triumph Bonnie. No issues at all. Talking to him, he obviously knows his stuff and has been doing it for years. Nice guy and great service.
James repaired my bmw 1200gs sourcing original parts, doing a quality job and providing an excellent service. His friendly and professional advice made the process very straightforward and he will certainly be my first choice in future.
