I didn't mind waiting a year for NHS knee surgery. The staff were very accommodating and did everything they could to make sure my surgery went ahead, despite complications that could have prevented the procedure. The after care was divine. All the staff were attentive, caring, friendly and understanding. Thank you Leighton Hospital, keep being amazing, I love you ♥️
Easy disabled parking. Take a ticket on your way in and pay for your parking when you exit. I had to go to the eye department for an ultrasound scan on my eye. A short wait and a quick scan and I was allowed to go home. Its a busy department but the patients are seen quickly. Thees a coffee shop on the way in so I got a take out cup of coffee. Its a well oiled system at Leighton hospital, you get seen promptly and any tests are performed and then you get your date for surgery via the post. It's great.
Usually I would give 5 stars but not on this visit. The roadworks are shocking and trying to park is an absolute joke. Cars were grid locked trying to grab a parking space. It was atrocious. You need to arrive an hour before your appointment just to park. I really hated this visit. I.paid to get out and the barrier would not open and the help button should be changed to unhelpful. I was accused of not paying but the payment had come out of my account, luckily I paid by card to prove that I had paid. I just wanted to get home.
My daughter gave birth to her daughter on 28th Feb after emergency epidural and cesarean. It was nothing like her birth plan. I am full of praise for the wonderful, caring and professional treatment from everyone involved. Thank you so much. Additionally, I got lost very often in the hospital and every member of staff was helpful and friendly. So glad we were at Leighton.
After spending some time Monday 11th March with my mother In A&E, seeing how the staff handled a massive amount of patients during the day, I take my hat off to them especially Russel, nothing was too much trouble for him. What an asset to the hospital. Well done all
Really friendly staff who help me find the department I needed and helped me get my drink out of the vending machine after it got stuck. No wait times. The building is run down and will be replaced thanks to the local MP who campaigned for this. I hope the next building is even better and continues to operate with excellence for many years to come
This NHS trust will never change will it....
Gastro team are on point again messing up care, results and clearly not listening to their patients yet again.
I past caring now how many times I have to tell this team the exact same thing over and over again.
It's a good job I asked for a second opinion at rlh because at least they actually believe the fact that I have irritable bowel more than what I can say for leightons gastroenterology team who have not physically seen me in person and examined me instead they rather speak to me via phone.
Absoulte joke, also demanding my gp to do the testing the liverpool have requested when i have clearly stated to Dr Preedy serval times during the phone call I had with that I was told that I didn't have to rush to have these tests done due to the fact am disabled and a full time carer to my parents.
So because of this I have to travel to liverpool whilst leaving one of my parents unattended and possibly could fall as well as me having a really bad ibd flare up as not myself due to medication changes for pain.
All because leighton and the gastroenterology team are unpatient to all those who are disabled and have care responsibilities to sort out. Oh and to top it off I was informed by Dr preedys secretary when I phoned up to ask why I was sent another blood form her respond was it hasn't been done.
Erm yes it has check my records oh yes I forgot you cannot check my records because the bloods had been put under some else's name. Hence why you couldn't find them originally.
Seriously how much more stress and discomfort are you going to cause me.
The amount of times I've been told by my gp surgery that if I have a flare up of my irritable bowel to go straight to a&e.
Erm think I will pass on that rather stay at home and be in pain, discomfort and dehydrated at home thanks.
My experience with a doctor from this hospital was nothing less than terrible. Urologist Dr Siraj is the pinnacle of medial arrogance and negligence. I’ve suffered from a complicated UTI since June last year, in October Dr Siraj took me under his “care”. His non treatment has lead me to a sepsis from that UTI in January. I’ve had one follow up appointment 7 weeks ago where I was not even asked to sit down, he didn’t take notes during and didn’t even look at my completely scarred belly. He promised treatment via instillations and I’ve never heard back from him, despite emailing and phoning.
Please never go there if you’re a woman suffering from complicated UTI!
