U could easily miss this place whilst engrossed with the sights and crowds milling about. I just so much remembered its location as I am I fan of tea and scones with the works which came in handy as we decided it we deserved a cuppa with all the walking and needing somewhere to answer the call of nature. This is also a very entertaining spot to people watch it sits across one of Cambridge popular college. It is a small dining area but I did notice a larger area for outdoor dining before u enter the cafe. Still , it has a great view.
A small family-run cafe serving homemade scones and tea. We liked the atmosphere but scones were not so fresh.
I was lucky to have orderd earlier than some in our table of seven. Even though the place was barely at half capacity, the staff seemed to struggle to get orders out in a timely manner. To be fair, we had been advised when paying that there may be a 10 to 15 minutes wait for food; but it took longer and the food arrived staggered so that you'd have finished your drink whilst waiting for the food. Nice location. Food was nice.
Lovely service here, super friendly and a nice respite from the hot weather in Cambridge. The afternoon tea set was so generous (love the scones and clotted cream/jam!), giant cakes and delicious sandwiches (tuna, sundried tomatoes & cheese, egg mayo, salmon). We took away half of it for dinner as we could not finish it.
We had an amazing tea time together with my friend. We had the homemade scone, it’s very tasty. Pls try when you come around Cambridge.
Had a great Rowers breakfast with unlimited coffee or tea. First coffee was lovely but subsequent coffees were a little weak. The breakfast was lovely. The service was great and a nice clean loo which is always a bonus.
Cambridge is a lovely place and memories made sweeter by the Afternoon Tea for 2 at Le Patissier! The portion was huge and we had to take home some. I had it for breakfast the next morning and it was as good as ever. There's both indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were helpful and polite.
The most delicious scones ! Served with clotted cream and jam. Home made. The best I ever had. Highly recommend.
