I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the ground floor restaurant Le Bar des Bergues insides the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva. I just had a quick tatin apple pie and a tea and it was amazingly good.
Tried their new afternoon tea and liked it. The pastries were delicious and their presentation perfect. The ambiance could improve. It not elegant at all or "ceremonius" as you would expect from an afternoon tea at such a nice hotel. People around you are having burgers and beers. Maybe if they moved the tea to the restaurant it would be more appropriate.
Essayez d’y aller un après-midi pour boire un verre ou un cocktail, en jeans et sans bijoux voyant, vous n’obtiendrez pas de table (même si certaines sont inoccupées) et vous vous ferez snober par la serveuse en charge…magnifique et charmante expérience! ????????
Valeur sûre sur Genève. L'endroit est idéalement situé. À quelques mètres des meilleures boutiques de la ville.
Le lieu est très chaleureux, la décoration très soignée, les serveurs et barmans très à l'écoute et très professionnel.
Attention cependant au (Maître d'Hôtel ) ?! Brune Magrébine, aux cheveux longs très peu professionnel.
Notre table, était censé être réserver (d'après elle). Donc, elle nous a donné une heure de temps pour prendre l'apéritif, finalement nous avons prix des amuses-bouches et sommes rester plus longtemps.
Finalement, nous avons beaucoup consommé donc ils ont jugé intéressant de nous garder en cours de route ?
Ce mensonge est très mal placé, ma mère s'est sentie très vexée.
La décoration de Noël était magnifique.
Les toilettes, n'avaient pas été nettoyer depuis quelques heures (malgré la forte affluence) plus de lavette propre. Nous reviendrons tout de même, car l'endroit est fantastique.
Great service and amazing drinks. Our waitress was lovely and chatted with us for ages about things to do in Geneva. We were brought complimentary (!) sweet and savoury snack trays with our drinks which were topped up when needed and delicious! The drinks are extremely expensive but tasty and accompanied with friendly and extremely fast service. However, we made the mistake of walking through the Four Seasons entrance, where we were rather frostily greeted by a “what is your room number?”.
The best place in Geneva ! Perfect cocktails, perfect food, perfect service like in every Four Seasons Hotel.
