I always try and support local small independent businesses, and aware what a negative review can have. However I am struggling to find a positive thing to say about my lunch today. Over processed dry chicken in a processed sauce, part baked roll and a slightly old salad. £13.95. Along with abrupt service and being welcomed with ‘have you booked’.
What an amazing place. Food is excellent. Can't praise the staff enough for the service. Lots of extras - not just your average tea and cake or sandwich - way beyond our expectations

Ordered Chilli board.£14-90. Very small bowl of mild chilli, very small bowl of packet ready grated cheese, packet boiled rice which was dry and in clumps, part baked garlic bread and tiny bowl of salad. Dreadful. Complained to chef and got no apology.cant recommend
5 of us and a dog arrived upon opening to be told that we were only able to sit at a table of 3 by the counter or outside despite us being the only custom at the time as that is as far as their dog friendliness extends; however with terrible weather and 5 people offered a table of 3 we had to find elsewhere.
I had heard good things about this place, and I'm happy to confirm they were all correct! The place itself is clean and full of character, making it a genuinely unique place to have an afternoon tea/cake or just some of their lovely homemade food. Staff were considerate and informative and I wish them all the success in the future. Would definitely go again!! Thanks Lavander Bee ????
Our first visit to this lovely place. Staff were very friendly. Good size portions. Can't really fault it apart from the pasta, tasted a bit off.
Thank you again for a fantastic lunch, amazing food as always especially the jacket potato cheese and beans! Always make us feel so welcome! Afternoon Tea also was beautiful too.
Greeted by a very rude and abrupt woman. Very poor customer service and a dry piece of cake. Will not return.
