Good food although I was not lucky to have the fish and chips. Great French onion soup and sausages with mash and peas.
Great local restaurant with really tasty food and lovely owners. Open at 6 and would recommend booking as the restaurant is small so can book up easily.
I really enjoyed my meal at Lapswood. Its good honest food done well. Don't expect high end cuisine here, but to me thats the charm of this place. The sea bass was tasty and the beef bourguignon was melt in the mouth. Its classic English food done with care. Great service too.
Great little place to eat. Pure and simple best cooked vegetables we have ever had. Excellent service good location. Not fuss, meals plated and delecious. Not a basket for chips in sight. Good quality home cooked food would highly recomend.
This was the first visit for my wife and I, having seen the restaurant on previous visits to North Devon and Somerset also viewed online, we decided to make a visit. We were not disappointed first class service, food & cleanliness my wife's roast of the day (turkey breast) as was my Venison casserole pipping hot with 3 nice fresh vegetables, plus starter's and sweets very enjoyable every table full so need to book, on a late September evening people actually being turned away. Must return.
Very ordinary food that I imagine has not changed for many years. Boiled veg literally green beans cauliflower and broccoli. Tasty stew but not much of it. Garlic prawns for starters that I really could do at home. This is 2021 not 1970.
Superb dinner. Lovely staff. This restaurant is only open a few evenings a week, excluding Mondays. They only take cash or cheque, no cards.
Great food, great atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff. We had the soup of the day, prawns in garlic butter, coq au vin and sunday roast. ???? Highly recommend, the best food in Porlock.
