Chips a bit scrappy, had better fish fingers for fish.
Highly recommended. Warm and friendly staff. Great fish and chips. Great value. Love the fact that the building is a traditional style hut. Gives it a classic and authentic feel. Well managed social distancing arrangements. Absolute 5 star review.
Not our usual chippy but as ours was closed took a chance on this one. Service was quite slow but ha ing said that they were very, very busy. Food was good but not exceptional, fish had a lot of batter which was very crispy & made fish dry. Mushy peas were good.
Sorry but tonight’s meal was terrible.
I ordered fish, steak pie ,chicken breast and a large portion of chips.
The chicken was over cooked and really dry, the fish was very good but the pie was stale. The chips and pie were cold. Also the potion size of the large chips was half the amount that you used to get before.
Over the past few months, this hip shop is starting to deteriorate.
A long established 'chippy' which continues to supply great fish and chips. The staff are excellent and provide quick and 1st class service. Highly recommended.
Just got tea here and must admit the fish an chips nearly broke my teeth, the batter so hard no idea where the fish was hiding and as for chips omg disgusting hard and tastless. Defo gone downhill since Mark/Mel have left.
Will pass by other chippy's to go here. Recommend it for a chippy tea. Grandson always gets spoiled when he goes with his gran. Update, The place has changed hands in the last few months and not as good as it was. We don't tend to go so much now, it may improve over time who knows.
