worst fish and chips I've had since living in Manchester (2 years)
I take fish and chips extremely seriously and I'm on the hunt to find the best in Manchester. This establishment was rated highly (4.3 stars) when in reality it deserves one star. The prices were extortionate (£3.90 for a "large" chips which I would say were a medium at best, and £5.70 for a tiny, soggy piece of "cod"). The chips were cold, extremely oily, and both mushy and hard at the same time; the fish, so soggy and hadn't been cooked long enough (it was stone cold in the middle). Overall, a thoroughly disappointing experience and I would advise you to not waste your money here.
Really good fish and chips, the bater was really nice, not a bad price too, very fast service
My family been going here for year. Never disappointed food is Delicious always hot and good portions and the price is cheaper than other chippys in the north west very good service and very friendly I would recommend to other family and friends

Expensive...don't take card payments...greasy... barm only half buttered. Best thing about this place is the woman behind counter, owner is moody every time I go, but the lady very nice. Just shame about price and food quality. EDIT : I WENT A FEW WEEKS AGO, CARD PAYNENT WAS NOT AN OPTION!!!! Owner responded saying they do and that Mt review is a lie... this is ridiculous. Why would I lie. When I went, it was cash only. Changed from 2 star to 1 due to being accused of lying. Cant belive the cheek of this guy lol
Always nice fish and chips, service quick and nice people. Tried elsewhere nearby recently and it did not compare, the lancastrian is far better and cheaper! Had family try too and they agreed fish is best they have had.
Best fish and chip shop in town! Kindest owner and the lady working there is an absolute sweetheart. I can only recommend this place! Amazing portion sizes as well :)
