I have taken both my car and my wife's for a couple of years for servicing/MOT, which have been fine at a reasonable price, staff are friendly. However, recently I had an engine warning light come up on my Nissan Qashqai and their test kit said it was a sensor and would cost £171. The job was done, but did NOT fix the problem, they retested.. different sensor, changed at no cost, still did not fix issue. No more diagnostic, nothing else they could do, problem remains, out of pocket by £171. Servicing yes... engine faults I'd say no and you don't get your money back

Car went in to have its shock absorber replaced after they found out what the issue was with my car. First time using this company and i was really impressed would highly recommend them excellent customer service and outstanding work Reasonable price will be using them in the future 5*
They were unable to fix my car which kept breaking down. They said they'd fix a problem which wasn't a problem. They were lazy to dig deep in the engine which proves they aren't truly compitent mechanics. They are just capable of doing minor jobs. They told me the car was fine though ever time I drove it, it broke down. Thank God for a diagnostic machine or they'd not be mechanics at all.
Disappointment
in my case as this simple operation had not been performed up to expected standard. A/C system got overcharged hence it stopped working. I seeked second opinion in another garage where things got rectified ie system emptied and recharged to the recommended level. Problem cured instantly. Great shame as I had used this garage before and 10-12 years ago things looked differently This time I have met with incompetence and my letter of complaint has been ignored. Obviously I will not recommend Lacock garage to anyone but to those who decide to use it I can only wish Good luck.
I have always had a good service from this garage. I take my car for a service and MOT here every year. They have also been honest and when there was nothing wrong with the car, despite an imaginary noise I kept hearing, they do not go and try to charge you for a non existent fault. I really appreciated that. They did not even charge anything for having a look at it.
It is unfortunate customers who are happy with the service do not give more good reviews. My father in law and two of our friends are really happy with the service provided too.
We've used Lacock Garage for the past 10 years with a number of vehicles we've had. They've always been upfront, completely trustworthy and friendly (including asking how our dogs are getting on after meeting the tearaways!). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these guys. Top quality service.
Initially quite pleased, personable etc, car was delivered and a number of key checks had not taken place and a bonnet replacement had not had the stand nor the windscreen washer attached. Side door turned out to not be the original so it wouldn't lock and window had different connections. On top of this they got a parking ticket the morning of delivery which I sent to them to action and they didn't so it escalated. I have paid to stop further escalation and they have not reimbursed. Disappointed by the arrogance, lack of communication and have reported them to trading standards so will see where that goes.
