This is my Dad's favourite retail place in Summertown ! Excellent quality bakery products sold by polite & sincere staff who really do go the extra mile to make your day. Prices are very fair & this bakery is very Covid secure as is clean n tidy with excellent social distancing measures in place. Availability & range of products merits ten out of ten. All in all well worth a visit - outdoor seating will be a joy in good weather. Well done them !
On using the shop twice this week the assistants are not wearing any masks or face shields.
They are serving food that is open.
And touching money. If public need to wear them so should the staff.
So felt put of buying uncoverd food.
A lovely, unpretentious place for freshly made treats and snacks. Definitely worth a visit. The coffee was a let down
Very nice place to go for quick lunch, great selection of baguettes and sandwiches. Almost always fresh ingredients.
Would definitely recommend this place instead of any other bakeries in area.
A real old fashioned bakers shop where you can order a celebration cake, get a cream cake and of course bread. They also have a sandwich counter and the sandwiches are made of REAL (I know!) bread. Recommended.
I have just phoned this bakery asking if I could pick up a cake tomorrow at anytime. The lady there was not very helpful. I tried to tell her that any kind of cake would do, even the Easter ones she mentioned, and just putting a name or just initials in icing would be a bonus. All I got in response was a replies of “no, not enough notice, everyone has gone home” . She made it clear from the start that she was not up to assisting me on short notice. I felt she was counting the minutes to go home and that reqeusting customer service was an interruption.
Part of my Wednesday morning ritual is to have a Kidlington Pasty from La Patisserie.
Absolutely delicious, I've not eaten better
