Cash only! Friendly and welcoming Chinese takeaway. Food is nice, didn’t have to wait long even though I didn’t call in advance.
Very clean and tidy inside, the plants are well cared for which I always like to see being somewhat of a houseplant addict.
I got special fried rice and some spring rolls as was alone. Was really nice. Would recommend.
Ordered on a Saturday night for collection. The Crispy Chicken in OK Sauce was absolutely perfect, so tasty and really good quality. The Salt & Pepper Chips were a very small portion though which is my only complaint.
First visit last night and won't be returning. Had the Special Curry which was very far from being special, mostly full of veg with little meat and bland taste. The Salt and Pepper Chicken was very dry and overcooked.
We’ve been ordering from Kwai Hong for ten years. It was great for a while…these days, not quite as good as it used to be years back, but we’ve kept going. This time, my family had a couple of chicken dishes and the chicken smelled BAD. And it tasted worse…like, off. Not right. And like it had been boiled in urine. So after we’re half way through dinner and my wife and eldest are like “can’t do this anymore, I feel ill”, I ring up to tell them that something wasn’t right.
She argues the case: the chicken is fresh, it’s my own personal opinion, no one else has complained etc. The amount of times I must have said I’ve been buying for ten years, I’ll come back, please just take it off our next order. She says no - you can only have one refunded unless you bring back both dishes to them to check. You might think that sounds fair, but I’ve driven fifteen minutes there, waited, driven back home, eaten half my meal and had a beer, and I say no. I’ve been buying for ten years, please refund next time. She argues again so I tell her I’ll go elsewhere next time and I get annoyed and hang up. This is what happens the FIRST time we’ve had an issue in ten years?
That’s where loyalty gets you. Everyone says that Lucky Star is better though, no?

Gave this a try as used to be lovely, omg how downhill has this gone, ordered chicken satay got chicken curry ordered chips and most went in the bin as looked like they were 2 week old, also gravy was a lumpy mess that tasted like bisto, will not be going back, very disappointed
This has to be the worst Chinese ever THE OWNERS ARE SO RUDE as the food is disgusting and tastes like its been cooked I'm cleaning fluids when asking them to change the food or for a re fund they went nuts and started shouting at me, BEWARE CAN BECOME VIOLANT

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS it's disgraceful and they are so horrible and rude. DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE YOU WILL BE ILL
