ABSOLUTELY FILTHY PLACE
We went here to support local rather than going to the chain coffee shop in Pickering.
Our experience in here is why chains survive and take over.
I am struggling to find anything positive to say about this. I thought it may have been a bad day when we went, however, having read the reviews it would appear that this is the norm.
The place is absolutely filthy. The tables are disgusting and need binning. The owner needs to sort his appearance out as he looks like a tramp.
There were food all over the floor when we went, the table wasn't clean from the previous guests
The cups and tea pot we were served our drinks in need throwing in the bin. (Zoom on on my pictures)
They looked like they have never seen a dishwasher. If this is what they are willing to serve customers drinks in, I would hate to see behind the scenes.
We will NEVER return to this venue. ????????????
My advice would be to go elsewhere
Based in an old bank we enjoyed Americanos and 2 huge cheese scones with chilli jam ???? Dog friendly so had a few cuddles. Only issue was door constantly open which might be OK in summer but not on a cold damp November lunchtime
Lovely coffee shop in an old bank. Very reasonably priced (2x pots of tea and one cake was £5.90). Really very good coffee and tea quality. Came back 2 days in row while staying near pickering.
Quirky cafe, cake to die for! Very nice people. We arrived late so were the only customers and can't comment on atmosphere but we would definitely go back again ????

Came here twice during our week-long stay in Pickering. Sampled the granola, mushrooms on toast, and a bacon roll - all of which were very tasty. And the coffees were great too.
Very disappointing visit. Staff very unwelcoming, slow service & the baked goods we tried were very dry. Toilets dirty. Also if you welcome dogs please have some water in the dog bowl not just an empty dirty bowl! Unlikely to return.
Visited this coffee shop twice in 2 days and to be honest not very good. We had 2 Lattes @ £3.20 each which were served in very small glasses. It is very rustic & plain and each time when we left we said thank you but on each time we never got a response from the staff.
