Whichever direction you are travelling just keep going to the next village where you will find a far warmer welcome. I'm sure the 2 or 3 locals who sometimes pop in for an hour in the evening see something that appeals. Perhaps it's the right-wing rants from the owners? Or maybe they like to get away from crowds and relax? Maybe it is the mild amusement of seeing an experienced publican struggle with the basics of a modern till system? Certainly it won't be for food as there is none... still. Shame, as I gather from the locals that they made a real effort in years gone by and the place was packed most nights with good food on offer. After alienating the majority of locals the pub is a desperate and empty place most nights. Best avoided until in new hands which, judging by the amount of spirits and cigarettes consumed behind the bar, may not be too long.
Weird atmosphere, really nice pub in terms of the actual building but staff were young and incompetent, un-welcoming. Good for drinks outside in sunny weather....away from the staff!
Having just moved to the area, my partner and I were welcomed by Pam, who made a special effort to introduce us to the regulars and let us know of the local clubs and events
I am disgusted with how staff from this pub have treat a member of my family, he is a young driver in his first year of insurance, he had a puncture so done as he should do and pulled into a safe place (the pub car park) to change his wheel, he was then greeted with pure ignorance, then for the duration of us trying to change his tyre we had staff standing in the window staring at us and despite the struggle nobody offered to help or even ask if we was ok, I would never recommend going to this pub as, the greeting outside was not pleasant so I wouldn't want to imagine how you would be greeted inside, just stay away from this public house, there are many more In the area that I'm sure have much better staff.
Local watering spot. Good beer, no food. Mellow, spacious and clean. Not loud at all, ever.

Noisy loud no respect for those living near the pub with children who are trying to sleep
People leaving pub after hours are loud so is the landlady disrespectful
