Liked: Absolute gem of a low-cost touring pitch (only £15/night in August!). The pitch is on a grass field behind the pub (which serves excellent food), and the amenities were far better than we were led to expect from the booking. The Toilets were fine,clean, and well maintained, and there were hot showers. Everything you need in fact.
(Also, there were lovely views from the site, which is set in gorgeous countryside).
The proof is in the pudding, and I would have no hesitation in using the place again, or recommending others to.
Great spot all things considered! After a few too many drinks last night, all we wanted was to ease into the day with our late lunch. Thankfully, they served 14 of us with ease! Our Christmas Eve menu came with three courses. I opted for the prawn cocktail (a true classic but could do without the buttered bread), roast turkey with all the trimmings (maaaaassive meal) and then finished with the lemon tart (star dish - it was YUM!) I had to be rolled out because I ate so much.
Value for money Sunday lunch, could have been hotter. Poor selection of lager. Staff very helpful. Proper beef! Good selection of meats
Liked: Lovely area behind the pub. Beautiful scenery too. The showers were clean and warm, the kids especially liked there was a seating area there where they could charge their phones. The pub itself was lovely. Great menu with vegan options too. There was a nice covered outside seating area too which we used quite often. We have put a heart on the map for if we ever pass again. Such a great price. The staff were really friendly and gave plenty of advice about where to go for a walk to the river. Shop close by too.
Disliked: Just that one of the outside pool table legs had been broken, making the table wonky. Obviously not their fault; but if I was nit picking; it's all I can think of!

There was two of us on a motorcycle trip to south wales this was the perfect middle stop to break up the trip, would definitely recommend, it was clean, the camp was quiet lots of room. The food was great as well as the service. The camp ground was level and the grass was cut absolutely great value for the money would definitely stay here again.
Disliked: Nothing, all was good
At first I thought the food was abit dear but when the plate came out the portions were large and good quality I was impressed, so this is not a dislike!
Liked: We had a nice quiet corner of the field with lovely views of the hills.
Site price was only £15 a night.
Disliked: Toilets and shower facilities were really poor. There is no lighting at all in the toilet units so you have to pee or shower in the dark or by torchlight.. all of the light bulbs had gone in every toilet/shower. They were also not the cleanest.
One of the bar staff was quite rude and didn't feel at all welcomed eating here. Food was mediocre but reasonably priced.
We along with a family pitched next to us left a night earlier than planned to find somewhere else nearby to stay.
Liked: Great stay. We were the only people on site so we had free choice of where to pitch. Had access to toilets/showers. Very clean and well maintained. Had dinner in the pub. Food was superb. Lovely backdrop, stunning scenery. It was wonderful to have a bit of peace and quiet in picturesque surroundings. Would recommend
Liked: So quiet and peaceful , the grass on the pitch was amazing , well drained , not bare Patches , very even ground . Staff at the pub were very helpful and friendly , the food was very good ,hot and well presented . Prices overall are very reasonable . The kids loved having lots of space to run around in and play , we were very impressed at the lack of litter on the site ,we have been to other places were there has been lots of discarded camping stuff , so well done for the litter free site . All in all we would and will be back again this year .
Disliked: Toilets a bit grim but I have seen worse .
