Came here instead of our usual, charged near £30 for what we got it’s disgusting! Either have been incredibly over charged or it’s simply a rip off. Asked for large chips, only a measly handful. Food was disappointing. Wouldn’t bother with here again.
I’m not sure where the bad reviews come from. I have been going to Kingfisher for years and the food is great! The only complaint I have is there is always a massive queue because it is so popular and they cook everything from scratch.
The fish and chips were nice, but paying over £14 for a large fish and chips expecting to share between two, was only big enough for one. I was very disappointed when my husband bought them home
Not great
Fish was soggy, chips were soft and greasy. Expensive for what it is.
Medium chips and large cod was TINY for £10.20... the food was nice and hot, freshly cooked, but I didn't like the skin left on the fish so it was only battered one side. The batter was nice and crisp, but tasteless. We asked for lots of vinegar, but they only put a tiny squirt on. Not the best.
Cash only. Why?
Medium fish and chips very average. Thick stodgy batter to make portions look bigger and not enough peas in the so called mushy peas. More like a green sauce.
Nice take away bag though.
Just been in today 07/07/2019 and watched them Prepare the Fish and Waited for it to be freshly cooked -Saw the Chips go in and come out too
Good Portions and the Fish Chips were cooked just right

Update Easter Saturday - Another well cooked Freshly cooked Fish and Chip meal Saw the Fish and chips go in to be cooked and All come out to be served
Ordered fish and chips, CASH ONLY so we all have to ask the question…Why? As should the HMRC!!
The old guy was rude and the place was very unhygienic ???? sadly decided not to eat the dinner after spotting a guy in the back coughing into his hand and continuing with preparing a Kabab. ????
