We were hoping for decent food for a birthday celebration and it did not disappoint! Really, really good food - lots of it too! Perfect seasoning as some takeaways are far too salty. So tasty. Fantastic service too, especially as I royally messed up the order (couldn't read my own writing). Phoned back in before it was prepared and they changed it to what we wanted with no fuss. Pricing and order correct on pick. Will definitely use again - fantastic value.
Honestly one of the worst Chinese’s I’ve ever had. Didn’t end up eating the food we received as the curry had a weird film on the top of it. Called the restaurant back and the lady apologised and sent out a new batch however was exactly the same. All the food stank of vinegar and was overall not very nice
Went on a Sunday evening as left it late to be cooking.
Thought we would give this one a try as the reviews were decent.
Our experience was very much as previously written, friendly staff, great size portions and I would go as far as saying some are more of a share size!
Unfortunately there was a very overpowering taste of salt with pretty much all of the meals, although that could have been the noodles as we had those with all the dishes. Sadly disappointing.
Got our second takeaway from King’s Gourmet on Saturday night, as we wanted to see if it was as good as the first time! It was even better. Beautifully cooked, great flavours, large portions, sensibly priced and really friendly staff - and they’ve got 5 stars for cleanliness too. We won’t be going anywhere else now that we found Melksham’s finest Chinese takeaway!
Never let us down, best Chinese in Melksham. Great portion sizes and always delivered hot. Understandable that the delivery time is long, they’re the best. Won’t go anywhere else!
I ordered by mobile phone when on the last leg of our long journey home. My signal was very patchy but the lady taking the order displayed great patience and continued to wait until my order was complete.
The food was delicious and plentiful and because they were incredibly busy and I had to wait longer than the stated time, we were rewarded with plenty of extra prawn crackers.
Our go to Chinese, not just for the value and great quality of food but also the great customer service you receive too. The owners Adeline and Andy are lovely.
I have always used this place as the best in area however last time I came the chicken balls were sponge bob yuk and the curry sauce had the salt pot tipped in it they should have binned and started again not ruin there reputation over it will not return not happy
