The food made up for the bad service experience. We ordered through the "just eat" app. Our order and money was taking promptly. This was at 5pm we had a estimated delivery time of 6:15pm. At 6:50 we called the restaurant. We where told our order was on the way and they were running late. No we waited till 7:15 got our delivery only to find it was the wrong order. Called the restaurant was told to call back in 15 minutes. Decided to then go ourselves to the restaurant a 20 mile round trip. We eventually got our order and was refunded the delivery charge.
Delivery was on point. Literally as requested.
Order was simple. Chicken sweetcorn soup, set meal for 1 (chicken balls/sweet sour sauce, typical Chinese curry and egg fry rice + 1 spring roll.
Freebie - prawn crackers.
Review time-
Delivery and comms exceptional. I requested a specific time, it arrived exactly (literally on the minute) and I was called to advise it arrived.
Soup was adequate and tasty, also very hot still. Personally for flavour I would have liked a bit more soy and sesame oil- but that's just me. It all got eaten.
Chicken balls and sauce. The batter on the balls was superb, like....bloody great. Light and fluffy, yet crispy and lush. The chicken, soft and perfect in every way.
The way this dish worked for me (staying in a hotel) was the fact I just dipped the chicken in the sauce and munched away - using my curry and rice as a real main. The sauce was cold, which I found odd, but I guess that's as intended because it worked, and tasted epic.
The curry. Typical yellow Chinese curry. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, but not a show stopper. Saying that.....like a fatty, it's all eaten.
The rice, again....surprised me. Fluffy and spot on.
I can't really review the prawn crackers as I usually don't eat them.
For the sake of review I've eaten 1. Erm.....prawn crackery....not my thing unfortunately.
Final note.
Absolutely sterling food tonight. Cannot recommend enough.
I only wish I'd gone for something other than the set meal seeing as how good this has been.

Great take away tonight! The man who took our order was very friendly and thorough and double checked everything. He also reminded us of a dish that we were owed due to an incorrect order in the past, we really appreciated this. Food arrived very fast and tasted great. Will definitely go back :)
What has happened to kings garden?
Ordered ribs and chips, delivered 1h 30 mins later and received reheated chips. Phoned up the shop and was told that they would send out replacement chips.. 25 mins later still no chips, Phoned up again and was told they're now on the way and we should microwave the ribs ( might as well have cooked our own meal at this point).. ruined the meal... refunded but not impressed.
Very busy chinese restaurant due to popular just eat orders. Food is good, service was very good considering we had several orders to be taken care of and happy to say all we're timely and correct.
Just got a take away and it was delicious! Singapore noodles and chow mein were so tasty. King's have really improved their food recently. Oh also, the Asian man who answers the phone is always polite and friendly. Highly recommend.
Absolutely delicious food. I am confident to say that it was probably the best Chinese takeaway I had so far. Very friendly staff, and were happy to adjust our order to our liking with good prices

Ordered to Thetford, food was hot and absolutely amazing! I was a little hesitant to pay £6 delivery but I will definitely do so again.
The spring rolls are devine ( not greasy) the satay prawns are delicious, as was the rice, starter and sides.
The meat and fish were tender and all the ingredients tasted fresh and clean (not like when you order a take away and you get luminous greasy sludge)
I will definitely order from here again...you have a new regular customer, thank you for a delicious, great value evening in ????????
