Popped in to pick up a couple of sweet treats, my suggestion to the bakery would be that they had some labels/wrote on the counter glass what each of the pastries were, as was nothing to say what each of them were which made deciding what to choose quite difficult, especially when there’s a question of people, I went for a cookie and a Bakewell slice. The Bakewell slice was quite greasy however tasted very good. The cookie was okay, although a little hard. £2.75 for both though, so very good for price!
Perfect for a quick lunch! The sandwiches were lovely and we also tried a cheese and onion pasty and sausage roll- the pastry on both was incredibly flavoursome. Will definitely be back :)
Was really craving a coffee alongside my morning walk, being the only cafe in the area and one of 4 or so independent Norwich bakeries I was excited to try! Staff were lovely and the food and bread did look good, a really don't like being negative because there is some real potential to this little place, although the vibe was bit bland and unwelcoming, my latte came out of an instant coffee machine (like the ones machines that have waiting for your MOT) and my millionaires shortbread was nice but tasted artificial and really really sweet, making me wonder if it is homemade or bought in.
I'm truly sorry if im wrong in anyway, but I won't be back in a hurry ????
Made me a 12inch square cake for my hubbys 60th birthday , when he saw it, made his day and better still it tasted delicious.will be ordering again very soon
Good bakery, some nice savory pies, pasties etc at pretty good value prices. Local meats available, drinks sandwiches and bacon and or sausage baps available too. Can get quite a few workmen in and busy in the mornings..
Friendly service and great food. The sourdough often sells out so get there early.
Fantastic little traditional bakery, has a wide selection of pastries savory and sweet, great cakes and tray bakes, especially the jam shortbread slice! Really lovely variety of loaves and rolls. Open until 3pm daily and always very fresh. Also recommend because it's fab to keep small businesses going!
Started using ketts Hill bakery after lock down started over a year ago , mainly to avoid the supermarkets but the bread ,rolls and cakes are so nice that we carried on going there . The take out rolls are excellent ,always made with fresh ingredients, normally have a egg n Tom wholemeal roll and my wife has a tuna salad roll , the rolls are always generously filled and absolutely lovely . Would recommend this bakery without hesitation . Maybe a little more expensive than the supermarkets but the quality of the bread etc more than makes up for that .
