We were recommended KC's and decided to give them a try for dinner on our first evening on holiday. Quite simply the best fish and chips we have had anywhere in England, they were big and crispy and the cod was chunky and the batter not greasy at all. The Jumbo battered sausage was super hot and the curry sauce and gravy were thick and tasty. The staff were very nice, helpful and quick despite it being a Friday night. We will be back! Thank you! X

First time visit, probably never again. Absolutely hate giving bad reviews but unfortunately given how much it cost and what we received, it's expected.

Cannot fault the service and accomodation of the shop, very friendly and attentive.

However, despite being at the shop relatively early, half an hour after their opening time, the chips were definitely... a) reheated, lacked that vibrant colour and texture, b) undercooked, we had some parts where they were too firm/raw and some pale soggy. Such a shame as the previous reviews and guest recommendations gave us high hopes.

There are only 2 size options with the chips, small and standard. There's absolutely no difference between the two and there needs to be more clarity behind it. I had to go back to the shop to order more after opening up the chips as the "standard chips" portion size was just enough for 1 adult (photo attached). Please consider a small and large, and kids version to make things clearer. And my reason for coming back for more chips was because I was told the standard size (as the photo attached) would be enough to feed 2 adults, not because we liked them, we didn't want to be starved.

Jumbo battered sausage lacked juice. The batter just fell off.

The cod, gravy and peas were absolutely fine. Hopefully this is just a one off, but when you work so hard for your money and pay for something that isn't to standard, it's incredibly upsetting.

Great fish and chip shop which was local to our holiday home. Food is cooked to order, yes there’s a wait for it but who cares when the food you get is fresh and was still red hot when we took it back to the house. Prices were very reasonable compared to the sea side town chip shops. The portions were a good size and the cod was so yummy, chunky and flaky. To say it was cooked to order too it was hardly greasy. Thanks ladies.????????

All food cooked to order. Not too long a wait. Pleasant friendly staff,good value & parking in front of shop. Would use again without hesitation.

Great chippy. We stayed at nearby Praa Sands and enjoyed the both times we ordered from KC'S. Portions weren't huge but all was top notch. Nice staff who bring your food to the car and prices were average also. Cod and chips were cooked to perfection, mushy peas are not bog standard and the curry sauce for a chip shop could win prizes! My wife really enjoyed her pea fritter also that we hardly ever see in the Midlands!

OMG they really are the best most freshest cooked fish and chips!

Chips are to die for! Wonderfully crispy and not swimming in grease and the scampi was amazing!!!

We live in Newlyn and will def be travelling further to get our chips now!

Could honestly say maybe one of the best fish and chips I’ve ever tasted In my life. Can see why is was a busy at it was. Even the service and food came around like clock work. A great assembly line of young people and lovely but shy young person on the till. Thank you for serving Cornwall. Well worth the walk up from Beare’s Den (also highly recommended) on a rainy Friday evening at 7:30. Heaving in the last 30 minutes ! Thoroughly and recommended.
