Best KPortal Reviews
The food is excellent.Only had takeaway from them and was never dissapointed. Cannot comment on the restaurant service. Food portions are generous and there is a nice balance in between flavours. These people enjoy cooking.
First and last time. Husband ordered a vindaloo that didn't even start to be cooked until everything else.delivered to the table including his rice and naan, this was then cold when his curry arrived. I had a biryani but rice was stodgy and plain but the vegetable curry was way too hot! The naans were very flat and despite.having a keema naan all I could taste was cheap marg that was melted all over it! The staff all dressed casually and bickering! The heating was off but got turned on about 20 mins after we arrived. No one else in the restaurant and it was freezing. Charged 10% service charge but service was far from worth it! Really not worth the money go elsewhere
First visit and hopefully not the last. The dishes were very tasty and freshly made. Good size portions and sensibly priced. Don’t forget to bring your own alcohol!!
Really is the best Indian food in Wellingborough. Delicious, tasty and not greasy. All appears to be very fresh and individually cooked. The onion bhaji and fish dishes are excellent. Great and friendly service. Waitress smartly dressed in chefs whites. Looking forward to next visit!
Excellent authentic Indian food. Keema naan to die for, as fresh as you like and the lamb just melts. Relaxing atmosphere and good service. Go give it a try
The garlic naan was bloody shocking and I say this as an Indian guy, please take that into consideration before inevitably ordering from somewhere else .
I also got chicken tikka which was very bland.
The delivery man was lovely though bless him.
I have been to this restaurant on 3 occasions, the first with a neighbour, then with a colleague and my final visit was with family. On each occasion the food was delicious and service attentive. I have also used them as caterers for a party, so I enjoy their style of cooking. The food tastes fresh and not too salty or oily, which is nice so it makes me feel it's healthier than other places. Hence my frequent return! Some of the dishes I've had so far are the lamb somosas which were delicious, massive and you get two! Lamb biryani, soft juicy meat and tasty. A paneer dish, can't remember the name, the paneer was delicately soft - the owner explained that this is because it was prepared in a traditional way. So different to the usual paneer but in a good way. My colleague had a chicken dish which wasn't as spicy as his usual, they welcomed the feedback and on my next visit they asked how spicy we would like the food. Kayal Tandoori are finding their way at the moment. It's a nice location for families being away from the main town, on-street parking nearby means easy access. I plan to return again, it's nice to have the option to bring your own alcohol too because that brings the bill down considerably which makes it more viable to frequent more often!
We visited for the first time and were really impressed with the food and attention to detail. No alcohol is served at the moment but they said they will be soon. They even went to the local shop and brought me some beer. Each dish was freshly cooked and all had own unique taste. Portion sizes were very generous. Staff extremely pleasant and welcoming. Highly recommend and we will be going back.
