Kandy offers a culinary journey unlike any other. From the elegant ambiance to the impeccable service, every moment is a delight. Had Lamprais and Chicken Kottu which was fantastic. Dessert was watalappam and that was mouth watering. This hidden gem is a must-visit for food lovers seeking a memorable dining experience. Can park your vehicle nearby car park.
Was part of a group of 8. Booked early ahead of a show at the local theatre. We were clear we needed to be out at 7.30pm. Unfortunately the food service was dreadfully slow despite being the only table. We had to chase and the last main course arrived at the time we had to leave. What food was served was nice but when you’re told that a large takeaway order took priority it didn’t make us feel valued as customers in anyway. Sorry but we won’t be back.
Had an amazing dinner at Kandy Authentic Sri Lankan Food Restaurant with a group of 8. We started with the Vegan Platter – so many delicious options! Our main course was the Kandy Vegan Special, and it was fantastic.
The service was top-notch, with a friendly and welcoming staff. They made our dining experience memorable. If you're into authentic Sri Lankan food and great service, this place is a winner!

I dined at the Kandy Sri Lankan restaurant yesterday, and it was an absolute delight! The authentic flavors transported me to the vibrant streets of Colombo. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented, showcasing the chef's dedication to both taste and aesthetics. Kandy do a vegan buffet on the last Wednesday of the month and it’s fantastic. The onion bhajis taste exactly like Bangladeshi fiyazi, so that was a delicious surprise. The rice noodles and coconut chickpeas were the highlight of the buffet. My friend booked to come back the following month halfway through dinner!
Love this restaurant. Food is delicious, fresh, and dishes are far more varied & punchy than at an Indian restaurant. Service is attentive and the owner is incredibly friendly, welcoming and happy to help you choose. We have been here several times over the years and it never disappoints; highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. Thanks you!
I recently enjoyed the Wednesday vegan buffet with my girlfriend, and it was fantastic! The food took me back to Sri Lanka with its authentic flavors and good spice levels. The vegan options were abundant, and the indoor decor added to the traditional Sri Lankan vibe. If you're a fan of delicious, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine, this place is a must-try!
Just paid 6 quid for 3 pinky sized duck spring rolls with a sauce which wasn't what the menu states. The jackfruit delight is mediocre unfortunately it lacks in flavour. The pork Sizzler was tasty that's why there's 3 stars, it was asked for very spicy and it was, very spicy!! Staff took 34 quid and they didn't offer me my change. I will order again to try the Sizzler for myself as that tasted good. But I can't currently recommend...
