Trying to get an appointment is like playing the lottery. You are more likely to win the lottery than get a face to face or even a phone call. That's if you can get through and talk to a person.
Try the 8am lottery to try and get a appointment? If you do get onto the waiting talking clock. Then about 1 hour later you get through and told that "all appointments have gone". Try 10.30am. You are then told that "all appointments have gone". Go to A&E or walking Centre. If and when you do get to see a doctor you forgot why you were there in the first place as it was that long ago you wanted to see one.
Tried last week for an appointment only to be told to go to a&e (5 hour wait) which I did & received the antibiotics I needed. Rang yesterday & was again told no appointments but she took all the information & was going to sort it out today so I rang back this am only to be told no appointments go to the walk in centre or a&e. I don’t necessarily need a face to face appointment but I do require more antibiotics for a chest and sinus infection. What has happened to this surgery!!
An absolute shambles of a GP surgery. The receptionists are rude at times. The pharmacy seems so unorganised, they expect you to wait excessive times with a young child for a prescription, for you then to be told there's a problem, go back to the GP receptionist, passed back & fourth & they ask me what's wrong? Sorry, I didn't know I now worked here too.
I appreciate that the service is over subscribed, but to get the basics wrong is unacceptable, why would you get into this profession if you're unable to sincerely show empathy or talk to people in the right way & care for your patient's, surely that's why you do the job!!
Utter rubbish, zero stars, avoid
Had an appointment today for an ongoing illness, to be asked what I think should be the next step. I have had this condition for 14 years and wanted referring but apparently I dont meet the criteria, I actually said to the doctor you are the doctor I was hoping you would tell me what will happen . Absolutely appalling how someone can be left in pain
If I could give no stars I would this practice is diabolical as an rtd nurse practitioner I can see it from both sides and it is diabolical treatment. Just today was phoning from 8.05 for an appt thought I was doing well when it said you are now through to the surgery then press one and guess what we cannot answer ur call finally did get through 15 in the queue waited a.most 1 hour tob told no apot
Available this was 9.15 toldto go to walk in centre that was my only option husband has a bad heart is stroke survivor just out of hospital as explained still no joy and this is why the has isin such a state. This practice is the worst ever why don’t they get a new manager who can delegate care properly not to receptionists who seem to bthe ones in charge here.
I can never get a appointment i asked for a appointment for my b12 injection and i have to wait 4 weeks for the appointment which is 2 weeks over due i was told on the 2nd of january that im anemic further test have bought up no reason for that, i also asked for a doctors appointment to sort that out and was told to call next week , unless of course i want to go to lowdham , i have severe arthritus in both knees and cant walk that well so can not get to lowdam . Dont know what to do now the whole thing is terrible
If I could I'd give half a star. Shocking surgery, avoid. A few years back they failed to provide test results to my wife which led to hospital admission. Recently they have failed to sign prescriptions properly after contacting to say they'd been completed and with the pharmacy. Often wait on the phone for 30 minutes plus to find they have no appointments. Took on patients from other surgeries when closed over the past few years which had led to overcrowding. If you want to be looked after I'd go elsewhere. Surprised they are still practicing in all honesty.
Whilst the long term services (ante natal), children's clinics etc provided by the practice are good and the staff are amazing. The actual GP surgery is a shambles. Trying to get an appointment is like winning the lottery. In fact I would say you have more chance of winning the lottery than getting an appointment.
Use this practice for services where you can book an appointment months in advance. But do not use the GP practice.
